Looking for some cannons on Crooked Island.......

Thanks Red,

I plan to go there again and not be in a rush as I was trying to get home (40 miles) ahead of some windy weather.

The video is red too, I'll post that tomorrow, quite fitting being April fools day and I forgot to set it for shallow with no red filter.....duh...

That's exactly what I saw, how do you know? Are you psychic ?

Yes Jason, I think you are right they do look like B stones...

Sometimes old cannon were ballast. But in the event of a storm, cargo would have to be jettisoned before they got down to the ballast. I assume you didn't see a "pile," but a scattering based on your earlier description.

Here is a new setting.

Hue = 19
Saturation = -65
Lightness = 0

Darren,

There is no ballast pile at all, even though I will look for the stones next trip

The location is between two islands so any east west orientated or vice verse hurricane will scour the seabed clean, the cannons are below the rocky area around them, in a dip.

Thanks Red.......

I think the cannons were the ballast in the bilge, they are in a neat line touching each other at their ends.

I tried to post the video from my iPad, any idea how to do it?

You have to upload it to a video hosting site like YouTube first, then you can link the video here. I don't know of any way to direct upload a video to TNET.

Sorry everyone, because the video is nearly skin color I think the You Tube people think it's pornography and it will not upload.

I am going over Sunday and will do a video without the red filter setting on

Red, The best results come from using Levels and Curves in Photoshop along with having an idea what the bottom looks like underwater.

I'm just using random manual settings in Paint Shop Pro 5, it's an old program but was the web designer's dream before more recent software.

Going to Crooked Sunday ( delivering my wife to spend a week with her friend) I'll try to re film the cannons and the debris field.

Thanks so much for making my photos at least look like they were not taken on Mars...as you can see below....sigh
