this trip sucked.... i drove for 2 plus days. walked for another 2 plus days carrying 50 lbs of gear.. got to where i base camp.. got a phone call that no one wants... my mom is not well and will not last.. so i packed up, walked for 2 plus days out, drove for 2 plus days.. made it back home 1 hour too late.. she is gone.. i am having a hard time knowing i did not make it home fast enough to say goodbye.. here are a few shots for you guys.. hope you all like them.. and yes. i did filter water from that green puddle... lol 20210303_123039.jpg20210301_090344.jpg20210302_130047.jpg20210303_123114.jpgGOPR0038.jpgp.s. for those that feel the need to tell me phones do not work out there.. I KNOW.. I carry an Iridium 9575 extreme satellite phone with GPS location...

Very cool pics :icon_thumright: :notworthy:
The geode.. giant tree/cluster ... beautiful water...

There is so much to see in there, ahhh to be young again.
Now it is quite the effort lol
I hope it works out for you to make another trip soon.

HUGE TREE, 600 to 1000 years old. It’s so big, I thought it might be a sort of cathedral of trees.
I hope some water is replenished in there for you. Back packing lots of water, is not fun lol.
Filtration kits weigh much less but have to be able to count on the water being there.

Probably wouldn’t be as rewarding if it was easy ... :)
