Such good river therapy. Just what I needed in these strange times.

Me on the right (above and below). Had very little time on camera. If only the title they gave me was true lol!

Great weather and minimal spring melt runoff = excellent high country prospecting!

Got out again yesterday and found myself on the good gold! It was a very nondescript spot which I found by accident. Two guys (friends of a prospecting friend of mine) showed up and asked for a panning lesson. I just shoveled up a bit of dirt from a random spot and BOOM there’s the gold! Made for a fun demo and an even more fun day!

The new guys, Nick and Anthony at their hole. Social distancing at its finest :)

My friend Frank and Patrick with a high Banker his dad built years ago. Patrick’s first time running it - he was SO excited!

Today was an exploration day. I sampled around two different areas, fairly close to home, and found gold in every pan!

Here’s the gold and other stuff from last Saturday. 0.31 grams with the 3 largest pieces +20 mesh. Best gold I’ve found near home. Gold near home is always good right?!?

Great gold, Kevin. I'm jealous!
In the thumbnail I thought that thing in the upper right of the other pan was a crayfish at first...

Haha thanks! I think some angler was hoping a fish would think the same ;)

Cant go out anymore but ive really been enjoying keeping up with the posts. Keep up the good work man!

My friend Alex, today was his first time gold panning. He did well and is now shopping for his own gold pans, etc!

Yesterday Alex and I got out again. 4 hours of straight digging and we were both just wiped out...gotta get in better shape!

Messing around with the larger flakes from my May digs. The water is too high to get to the good paydirt now :(
