Jamaican Beach hunt.

After a week at Rose Hall , Jamaica I am still recuperating.
Way too many rum drinks and Red Stripe Beer.
I went out early a couple of mornings and hunted the beach.
There were already hotel employees there raking and grooming the sand.
They all were wearing expensive looking watches and I would guess that they do not miss much that is lost on the beach. They rake it every morning.
I only found a nickel, a quarter, three Jamaican coins, [two were $20 coins],
And a 10k earring.
The weather was perfect and we had a great time.

It was in the 80s every day Nick---Went through a lot of sunscreen.
They had a great Italian restaurant called the Luna Di Mare.

Sounds great Merf. I spent a week in Ocho Rios, Jamaica in November and it was amazing. Definitely lots of Red Stripe and Rum Drinks.

So many different rum drinks----I think my favorite was the Dirty Banana.

Thanks for all the pictures Merf; the wife & I spent 11 days down there a couple years ago. All we did was drink & lay on the beach with a couple trips into town. Your pictures really brought it all back. I didn't metal detect back then, wish I did...who knows what treasures the rakes missed! Glad you had fun.

Yes, It worked well on the beach.
No problems getting it in or out. I just packed it in the suitcase with my clothes.
