Its End Game

Morriss saw him for the first time in Jan of 1820 after 3 years on the trail and collecting gold and silver in the outback. I would say he was a Tan Man at that time. But if some person of some race could get 30 people to call him captain and have slaves as servants from St Louis and shoot like Captain Beale of New Orleans, Could Be !

Point is, he would have lost "his most distinguishing feature" during the Virginia winter season. I was absolutely amazed at how quickly I lost mine in a very short time and my general complexion/"skin tone" isn't even close to albino, yet it was very noticeable. This is why so many people use tanning salons through the winter months or during those months leading into the short/swimsuit season. During his second visit he is described as being even "darker then ever" and believe it or not men of color do tan. What we learn in this is that Thomas J. Beale was "dark & swarthy" to begin with. And remember, we do know for a "scientific fact" that the wealth, especially true of the silver, could not have been mined/refined from the region described as detailed in the narration. Too many people continue to believe that the wealth was mined as described despite overwhelming historical evidence and scientific fact to the contrary.

Another fact that people need to start considering, the only Thomas J. Beale of record who matches the pamphlet description had to have had a father, and even a grandfather, yes?

Catherine Beale Jordan
Dose have some dark attributes to her complexion

I will work with the J more in the future , but you are starting sound like Reb with the S in Moirriss.

I think the J was a hint to Morriss for the DOI nothing more. 1820 was the first siting of beale by morriss . Did he not wright the code until after he met Morriss ?

Who was Celeste J Beale born in 1824 to Captain Thomas and Celeste Beale?

He did use the J for his child's middle name and his oldest boy was named James after the James Madison Jr I am sure .

Don't take my word for it......Look it up!
Complexion; "the natural color, texture, and appearance of a person's skin," I think this pretty much nails it down. A person's tan is not their natural "complexion". TJB had a dark and swarthy complexion. Trust me, this new theorist is all over it!!!!!

Now that it has been established 100% that Thomas J. Beale WAS a man of color, then everything else you need to research is in this thread. Keep in mind that Thomas J. Beale of Richmond, a free man of color, had a father who was allegedly big with the ladies and that this father, also according to the author, was from some western portion of the state. Also keep in mind those early slave trade routes I mentioned in some of my previous post, these involving Santa Fe & Saint Louis.

And don't let 1827, a date of birth, fool you, as it actually fits perfectly if you just sit back and think on it.

You might want to reconsider as it was very common for slave owners to produce children through their slaves, some even saw it as financial advantage, future labor advantage, etc. Also, and from a slave trader's perspective, what good are illegal slaves if you have no market for them?

I think if you look at the world today you may see the same thing as once during the 1800's . There is a natural given urge to procreate in most cultures. Do not think it was a problem that you may run out of workers . The North was seeing how the South was gaining wealth and power to fast and put a stop to it . Rightly done I mite say with a problem that was from the time of the start of the USA . All Men Are Created Equal . There are people in cultures that never grow out of certain ways they have been trained in . The 60's are the best reference to look at .

Alderman Thomas J Beale, Jackson Ward, Richmond, father was listed as UNKNOWN.
Are you creating this "Gangster of Love" profile for his unknown father, or can you back that statement with solid documented evidence?

Why, yes....yes he was. But make no mistake.....he did have one.:laughing7:

Everyone has a father even testtube babies but what has that got to do with TJB's father.

Not really... ONLY about Thomas Beale, Sr., formerly of Shenandoah County, Va., then Fincastle, Va. (WESTERN part of VIRGINIA, North of Roanoke, VIRGINIA); SENIOR had the duel with Attorney JB Risque; was unmarried, left a son (Thomas Beale, Jr.) & the boy's mother behind in Fincastle, Va., as SENIOR "skedaddled" on down to New Orleans, etc, etc. Was NEVER TJB.

Is that a concession to making Alderman Beale's unknown father the "Gangster of Love" to fit the description in the Beale narrative to fit this theory du jour? :tongue3:

You mean..."some people call me Maurice"(Morris?) is the father?

John Yeats Beall was from Western Virginia, was with Booth during Brown's hanging, and had urgent business in Richmond in 1863. Not sure if he was "swarthy".
