I'm still shaking :hello2:!!!! Went out this morning with Ryan , EAGLEFORCE , and his buddy Tino and hunting a school that gave up big gold years ago . This school also gives up a silver once in a while too . As for the silver finds today I found a 1943 S Washington and a 1944 Canadian silver dime . They were both about 7-8 inches deep . Also found a 1946S wheat at 9 inches ! Now for the BIG one ! I was out in the middle of the soccer field when I got a +72 at 5 inches . I was thinking a penny or a game token but it was not ! I pulled back the plug and saw GOLD ! I took a picture and yelled over to the guys that I had gold and it had to be high karat ! I flick over the item and there it was my first ever GOLD COIN !!!! :headbang::headbang::headbang::hello2::hello2::hello2:. It is a 10th oz gold Panda coin in a 14k gold bezel ! I can't believe it ! I have thought about this day happening forever  . Now I can hag up the MXT , NOT :laughing7: . What a great hunt that I will never forget  .
HH

A panda no less... heh
And they carry a premium.

Well done.

Congrats Glen. Almost doesn't seem right that that it is in a bezel, instead of a ring!

Very well done sir.

Congrats and welcome to the club! Its an incredible feeling, isn't it? It looks so much better out of the bezel.

Big congrats on getting into the gold coin club! Tell me how much the dues are, I'm not a member yet. ;)

way to go man. very nice finds

These are collectable Bullion 'coins', more bullion (hence the .999, which coins don't have) than a true coin, if that makes sense. Its a halfway house to a coin. So you can cross it off either list.

I agree it looks better out of the bezel. It took me about 20 years to get my first, so who knows it might open the flood gates - CONGRATS.

Thank you everyone for the kind words ! I never thought I would find a gold coin due to the locations I hunt , parks and schools . Never thought much about finding one mounted for jewelry  . Next I need to find a U.S. gold coin mounted in a gold ring :hello2: . Thanks again !
