Is your scrap yard honest?

they robb me every chance they get .LIKEWISE i get them to i fill the frigs with glass from storm windows and concrete and shingles .then weld the door shut .PAYBACK....LOL...$$$$$$$ in winter time let the hose run into cars and truck.Ice is very heavy fill gas tank to with hose

And because of people like you the yards make less profit, which means they pay everyone less overall. The people that get hurt are the honest folks like me, because folks like you try to steal from the yards.

people that are dishonest... always get caught eventually... don't matter how long it takes... its just not worth it.

The more you go to a scrap yard the more you will know. Sometimes they are picky about a screw other times not. But if you know that they are screwing you, the rest is up to you...

My scrap yard has a lot of bad karma coming.

They've been sticking it to this area forever.
They are the only yard in a 70 mile radius
and they are multi millionaires.

And yes they are shorting people regularly,
my story is a bit lengthy if anyone wants to
here it.

I have a problem with my scrapper that won't be
resolved until he admits he stuck it to me on the
first load (16+tons) that he hauled off my
property and never could come up with a weight
ticket for. I won't hold my breath on that, he
is a thief and a liar.

I called to find out the weight of the scrap
he spirited out of my yard.
He said it weighed 3 tons.
I told him bull**** and he said he would
find the ticket. An hour later he called back
and doubled the weight. What could I do?
His yard is 42 miles away and you're not
going to go retrieve that much scrap from
a pile 100 times that big.

I had loaded more than 2 tons onto a single
axle trailer for a guy the day before.
He is a water well driller and wanted to actually
salvage some bits and subs to use for his business.
We had it weighed at the scale which is a quarter
mile away.

There was at least 8 times that much in the scrappers
container when he hauled it off on a day I
couldn't be there! There were at least 100 3" and 4"
gate valves from oil field salvage plus tons of prepared
small heavy scrap from years of piling scrap from
our welding business. I learned a hard lesson.

This guy will set a container by your business and
take it when it's full. The business's around here
are doing good and don't even check the weight,
they just let him send them a check. He is cleaning
up. He really needs some honest competition, I
wish I could figure a way to get in on the action,
but he is huge and is the only game in a 70 mile
radius.
