Indian Wars "US" Army buckle display
Well Folks, it took awhile but I finally finished making the display for the Indian Wars "US" buckle and bullet I dug back in March.

I figured they needed to be displayed proudly after being buried for 100+ years.
My woodburning technique is a bit rusty but I think you can tell they are arrows in the wood. I was going to try to make other symbols but didn't want to push my luck.
The Indian design ribbon gave the display an extra boost in color.
Thanks to Tnet member "Kuger" for telling me about the Time/Life book "The Soldiers". I was to not only able to use that book ($10 on Ebay) as a background, but in the book I was able to salvage photos of this exact buckle being wore by Indian scouts and US soldiers.
Along with those photos, on the back of the display I will keeping patent info on this Anson Mills buckle, and photos of when I dug the buckle. Basically the history to go with the display.
The only thing I have left to add to the display is an engraved metal plate on the front with a description of the items.

I gotta figure out how to make a display for bottle finds 
In any case that is a nice looking display buddy.
