can you believe that? 
We've had a lot of rain lately, in the middle of this we were putting down another water well. I had detected that area before the well and never really found anything. This is the garden area, so I had hunted that area pretty heavy, but everyone always says you find more stuff when there is more moisture in the ground. After more rain and another cold front hitting us last night, I was not too determined to get out in this 37 degree weather. Well, about 9:00 the phone rings and it's my husband calling me to tell me to get over to the farm with the metal detector.
Well, I dressed for the North Pole, got over to the farm where he and the well digger were capping off the well. The well had flowed for 3 days so the area was pretty much flooded and a lot of mud. They found a old wrench and thinking there would be more. So I started hitting the area where they found the 1st wrench. I was next to the iron pipe fence and it was giving me a lot of beeps. I believe that's why in the past I never found anything cause of the fence throwing off signals. Using my survivor's knife I found 27 assorted wrenches in a 3'x3' area. Everything was below 6-8" deep. They're all old, some of them I never seen the likes of em. Husband says they have to be made out of "pigiron" not to be in a crusty, rusty condition. I like old tools, and finding this tool cache was a big thrill. More to add to my collections.
