Didn't find much, just the usual type of junk for this kind of spot and not a single coin. It was sure nice to get out and soak up the sunshine though.

One of those metal Social Security cards. This guy didn't want his number on there.

This tiny car was my find of the day. Thought maybe a Monopoly game piece or Cracker Jack prize, but I can't seem to find one like it. Anybody recognize it?

I found this in the same area. Another game piece?

The place I was headed for was up in these hills but I had to turn around because of around 6 inches of snow on the ground!

Nice. Assuming that is a .30-06 blank? Also anything on the other side of the game piece? Could be a collar stud/cuff link
Or .308 Nato, the head stamp was from Lake City 1941.
Its indented on the other side, funnel-like.

The NATO equivalent to .308 would be 7.62x51.

Cool little car, then again that road looks like a pedal to the metal straight shot.it it

I'll caution a guess that is a military stripper clip for a 30-06.
Perhaps it relates to the blank cartridge and there was a ceremony with a salute held there.
1903(03A3) Springfield rifle maybe.

Busy finds !
Congrats.

Cool finds - good to see you could get out on a hunt !

Nice going and thank you for sharing with us

Love that little car. Cool that RedCoat could ID it.

The cartridge is .303 Enfield blank. The stripper clip looks like it could be for a 1903 30-06 Springfield rifle.

.303 Blank

Unless the heads stamp was shown/described previously I’m strongly doubting that’s a .303. While the us did produce .303 during ww2 that was a British round and most all would have been exported. The us main caliber during the time was the .30-06/m1. You’d need measurements of the shell, or potentially pic of head stamp to determine.

As mentioned earlier, the blank and the stripper clip are likely a pair. Based on where found chances are it came from a model 1903, 1917 or m1 garand. All .30-06.

These are 30-06 blanks. The .303 had the extra-long collar on the casing according to photos.

Extra-long collar.

All I can go by are photos since we don't have a headstamp. Looking at the photos the op's find more resembles a .303 than a 30-06 IMHO.

You may well be correct.

Based my guess off of location and probability. Will need measurements and/or other pics to say for sure.
