Looks like an absolutely awesome find. Is there any museum near you that might have an idea? It could very well be an indian copper culture point. No clue here but I hope someone knows. Thanks for sharing

Wow! Waiting for the smart ones on the board to ID -

That's a beauty! Minnesota is in the west end of the dispersal region of Lake Superior area mined copper that was hammered into artifacts. Likely age... Approximately 1000- 4000 B.C. .
Do a search for "copper culture artifacts" or "old copper culture" to learn more.
There are fur trade era copper artifacts also but they're only sheet metal thick.
Awesome find!

Awesome relic recovery!

VERY sweet find! It appears to be a sawtooth base point. I am nominating for banner.

Saw tooth base point
These unique types of projectile point are less commonly found. There are fewer than 20 in the museum collection and they were found in both Michigan and Wisconsin. The size range is usually smaller, between 4 to 15 centimeters. The saw-tooth-base is an ingenious form of hafting, resulting in a very secure projectile.
From the above link............posted by Golddiver.
When did you find it? Any dig pics or story of the find? Some people on here are real experts. See wha they say. Looks pretty cool to me.

Absolutely beautiful and I think one of the best relics I have seen in a while. Not putting others down or lessening the coolness factor but historically beautiful.......

Great find, congratulations!

Wow, incredible find. Indian copper is always exceptional!

No doubt a Banner find! I can't find evidence for more than 50 or so of this type known, which makes it insanely rare. Love the patination!
