You are all so funny! Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I have recently come across a whole lot of old antiques and some junk, I am sure... I am completely lost when it comes to that sort of thing. I am a mere 48 years old.. much too yopung to know about old stuff <smirk>.

The bed warmer/contact lens cleaner/egg poacher/crum catcher thingy is 7" overall (handle to edge, with the round part measuring 4" at the widest. I guess that rules out the contact lense cleaner.

Not sure of the size, but if it is small, it is probably a "crumb tray".

Ever go to a fancy restaurant and have the waiter "sweep" the table between courses? He would sweep the crumbs into a crumb tray.

Or it could be a bed warmer. The handle is shorter because this one is for naps only.
