Gun Industry Lobby Debunks Right-Wing Medias Latest Ammo Supply Conspiracy Theory

So often fear isn't based on fact. What did FDR say? "We have nothing to fear but fear itself."

For years the GNoP has been dogging the American economy - telling us how horrible everything is. Then they turn around and say "See? People don't have confidence in the economy!"

Good luck to all,

well the economy seems to be improving ( i know my mutual funds are booming)
and I got on and signed up for insurance last week

The EPA gets their authority from federal law. It can't overstep a "mandate". Period.

Really? Can't overstep a mandate. lol Their authority came from federal law and everyone thought they were a benign entity, Many have found out they are not. They are now writing their own "laws". Another entity making congress irrelevant.

Right about one thing though,, Congress has been throwing out control for a long time.

I remember the Demnocrats screaming for years the economy was awful, gas cost too much, 3% unemployment was too high,, The world is coming to an end..

But now when the Reps say unemployment at fake #s of 7% is bad Booky and others say that is a bad thing to complain about? Disinformation,, again.

We went on the California exchange website, quickly found the information we needed, and then called Kaiser directly.

Happily, California was one of the 14 states to set up its own exchange.

I saw the most recent jobs numbers in the morning paper. No question things are improving. Now, if only wages would go up...

Remember, Henry Ford paid his workers $5 a day when other Detroit employers didn't come close to that. Guess what? His employees could afford to buy a car!

Wal*Mart, on the other hand, recently had a store employee food drive for Thanksgiving. They wanted to collect food for Wal*Mart employees.

Good luck to all,

California... what a surprise. That explains alot. seriously. You and that bug eyed freak Nancy Pelosi.. Flower children who took an acid trip in the 60s and never returned.. When are you guys gonna secede from the rest of the US and stop trying to make us comply with YOUR wacky way of thinking ? You want to be happy little socialists that's your business. Leave us out of it. What is surprising to me though is that I remember those times. The "flower children" back then were totally against big government. Now they have grown up and the new way of thinking is to give ALL the power to the government and take it away from the people. That is something I don't get. OB when did it change ? Why wasn't I notified ?

Cali,, not surprised at all. I always wondered how the skull keeps getting elected. Doesn't her husband own a big seafood company with slave labor in samoa or something?

You wrote: "It is no wonder then that something like this lead smelter situation would/could then be misconstrued by the right and taken the way it was."

The purpose of my post was to provide an example of what thin confections so many of these wild conspiracy theories really area. The ammo industry uses re-cycled lead. I would think people who care so much about it would know a simple fact such as that.

Paranoia and fear mongering just aren't healthy for anybody - left, right, or center.

Did you notice it was the last lead smelter plant in the US? Also, that the EPA started in 2010? Looks the same to me. EPA caused to to be closed.....

The issue wasn't that the lead smelter was closed. The issue was why.

Agreed. There was no vast anti-ammo conspiracy (which had been posted here previously) - which is where this tread began.
