My view on this topic is this, flowers and all things above ground on memorials are for the benefit of the living and should never be touched, what is buried, be it 10 yrs or 10,000 yrs old serves no one if it stays buried...If I were buried with valuable things, (which I do NOT agree with) by all means dig it up and use it, as I will have no use for it...
