got scammed on here help

I'll guess the Latitude & Longitude is for Comcast, not the guys location.

I am not trying to instigate anything but I typed in the coordinates on Goggle earth and unless Comcast's office is in a residential home? Would-be scammers beware!

Hey before anybody takes a walk down to those coordinates, there are some things you should think about. First being just because that IP used was used by that user, there is a chance that is NOT the location of the person/s behind this. that IP being used very well could be a compromised PC as in it has a Trojan ( malware ) in it And it is being used remotely by the scammer, it could be as easy as a neighbor who put something on somebody's PC or could just as easily be somebody in China using it and having somebody pick up mail at that location.

Not rooting for the bad guy here, just hoping somebody does not target somebody that may or may not have any knowledge of this happening, and it happens very often.
the person/s behind this knows how to cover their tracks fairly well in using names that are fairly well known, by known I mean through searching turns up multiple references to many locations. I've a fairly extensive background in PC/net security in both virtual and physical areas, so I've been around the block quite a bit on this subject since the days when folks were running BBS networks, before the internet or WWW if you want, gained any public usage, in the early 80's for myself.

By all means make reports about those user names and IP/s associated with them. really only people whom have been scammed should do so or mods/admins that have access to IP addresses. otherwise it will complicate matters for whichever authorities are to deal with this.
personally I would start locally by making info available to the originating IPs state police, then to the FBI's internet crime division, somebody above posted a link.

OK then maybe with a good bit of research anybody interested like myself since I tend to take these matters personal, since I can't stand a thief, can put this scammer/s out of business, any reduction is a good thing.

Not yet I will do this today and let everyone know

Without reading through all 10 pages, let me offer my thoughts on this.

First off, how did you pay using PayPal? If using Paypal, did you send money paying for "Goods", or did you select the "family/friends" option? If you used "family/friends" when sending the money I don't believe you have any buyer protection from them. Otherwise you can file a fraud claim with PayPal.

Since this guy seems to have a reputation, I would contact his local law enforcement. Make sure that you have all of your paperwork in order. Include a copy of all receipts from PayPal and all correspondence with the so called seller. If there are others who have been scammed by this fellow, get them to do the same, multiple complaints to the law will help get things moving faster.

Complaining and sulking online won't get your money back. The local law enforcement can and will. In other forums that I frequent, I have read many success stories where the local police paid a visit to the deadbeat seller, and the buyer either received their item or got their money back. In one case the deadbeat seller was on parole after serving time for fraud and was sent back to prison for ripping people off using eBay.

Good luck! I've been buying online for 14 years and have never been scammed. I've dealt with my share of dishonest sellers though...
