He is banned I just looked. Sometimes people get mad when we ask people to not sell outside of Charter Membership but we do it to try to keep scammers out.

Hopefully they were able to freeze his Paypal account, or at least part of it,
so the money is there. Otherwise they may need to wait & hope he restocks the account.
of course if he's busy scamming others he may need the account open.
I'm not sure how paypal works.

I think, when I pay my Propaine bill online it gets automatically routed through PayPal.
But I don't have a Paypal acct.

The joy of PayPal is, if you have a bank account tied to it...so you can add money or withdraw money, when PayPal issues someone a refund, your bank gives them the money...then YOU are in the hole! Say hello to NSF fees!

Wow, 11 pages. I had a problem with a Propointer a few months ago. I actually got banned from the site he was a sponsor at. The guy just disappeared and didn't respond. I heard all these great things about the guy, but when he did respond, it didn't solve the problem. I had to go through the manufacture and use the warranty before he responded. The guy couldn't respond. He must have worked out of his garage as he had no employees so his email didn't get checked nor his phone calls. I felt bad and was just glad I could the item back to where it was made. The whole process left me with a bad feeling. There is folks who will lie to you to sell make a few dollars. I dont know if its accidents or what. But always buy new, and from a sponsor of the forum. Period, the few dollars you save is not worth the hassles that come with that discounted piece of equipment. I have been screwed by two members of these forums and no one gives a crap in those other forums. It is why I am here, I dont use the other forums. There will be a lot of folks reading this, and some of the stuff posted here is the wrong info. The guy has a neighbor right, call his neighbor and have him go knock on his door. Facebook him and contact his family. Also it is mail fraud, get the postmaster involved. Paypal will stand buy you also, ask any seller here. You have just as many bad buyers as you do sellers also. You got a bad feeling about it right away, and you were right to feel that way. Dont spend too much time on loosers like this. I hope your able to get that coil soon from a dealer on here. I have bought at least 8 used detectors with out an issue and saved thousands over new. You buy from charter members with a good rep and always pay by PayPal. ..

I have 2 excals 1000, bought one for $475 and the other for $600, look at what a new one costs, even with a couple repairs and custom mods ect still under a $1000 in each one....

This is the exact reason we say only CM can sell, we have next to zero issues that way...

I'm not sure how these guys get much out of paypal. I'm sure it's not linked to their checking account. Maybe with the funds they buy silver coins as soon as the payment comes through and send it to a PO box or something. Good luck on paypal getting the money back.

At least on eBay you can't get the money right away until you have 10 successful transactions so you can just launder it right away.

One of these days they will go to their PO Box and there will be a couple officers waiting for them, they will get caught eventually for wire fraud.

Good point Jeff, perhaps once they stop putting away folks for decades for minor drug offenses they can focus on thieves that can steal thousands of dollars from people that cannot afford it with impunity.

Perhaps all of us have learned something here....I hope so, we all need to be very careful these days, and as I do, be very careful in who we trust with our hard earned money....Glad you got your money back, and I'm sure you will be more dilligent in the future....I know I will, but then again I don't trust dealing over the internet.....Gary
