a cobbs blade is an un-notched archaic blade which over time, most exhibit a bevel on the blade edge from resharpening.Can someone please explain to the new guy (me) what a cobb is?
Beveling is an early archaic trait. All you have to do is skin one animal with a beveled knife and you’ll know exactly what the purpose of the bevel is. Experimental archaeology always gives you the right answer.Verry helpfull! Thanks I was still confused about the bevel but I got now

I have a blade that looks like this. I will ask in pm maybe tomorrow and see what you think. Nice collectionthis cobbs, was found in May 27th 1995 close to my house, broad percussion flaking with edge pressure flaking on the beveling area.
