Quartz with sulphides. Maybe pyrite and/or oxidized galena. Galena would have cleavage and be very shiny.

Not seeing galena.. galena is a darker grey, either shiny when fresh or dull when oxidized.

Found this with several others like it on a island while camping. Is it one of those rocks (forget the name) where lighting hits the ground and forms these rocks with a hole through them? It isn't iron, I put in under my detector and it didn't beep.

Found some good old hard rocks and inside of them was something interesting..:

Identifying by picture is hard but can someone give advise is that the real deal or not?
PS: The stone was in our campfire, so its very brittle. On other bits you can see also layers of that inside the rock.
