Freedom is a wonderful thing my friend, yet along with this wonderful freedom comes the incredibly heavy burden of *responibility*. Yes I witnessed plenty of verbal abuse in both the Religion forum as well as the Politics forum.
However, I have never once felt threatened by the freedom to bear arms. Although I would feel very threatened if that liberty were taken away from law abiding citizens. Then only the abusers you warned about would have them.

I am not willing to give up any of the freedoms that the founding fathers of this Nation in their great wisdom have provided for the citizens of America.

why not just make it so that those who start a thread, can moderate that thread. I've seen this done on other forums, and it seems to work well. Moderators are still needed, but not as much, and those who respond to a thread that they disagree with, tend to do so in less-strident manners.

I miss arguing with the libs. It sounds like the problem was on the religion side. I think the libs here have connections and they got tired of all the butt whippings. With that said, i really like this site. Bring back the political forum and i will become a cm the next day, i might do this anyway. Just having a little fun while watching tv. I haven't had much time for detecting lately and I have been on a dry streak. I made the banner once, that sure felt good. I hope i am not a one hit wonder. I get the magazine.

You are correct, didn't notice that they were back.
And now, frankly I don't think the Mods are knowing what they are doing.
To me, the "Corner", is a half-assed approach to a serious condition. It's like a time out in elementary school. Some of the postings got so filled with vehemence,
ON BOTH SIDES, that a "Corner" is like BP's many ways of trying to stop the spill.
And as far as trying to get people banned for hateful, racial, homophobic, etc., etc.,
that still stands. But I have never, ever ran to the moderators crying and whining if I don't get my way. I've talked to them once, when all that porn-trolling crap was going on.
