The Goldfields I search have been known as the Wet Diggings as far back as the 1850`s. The ground is rock hard in summer and winter you need to dig with a bucket.. A group of freinds, ( Bottle Collectors ) digging a hole on the goldfields. I am taking the photos.

This is an American made Glass decanter, 1850`s.

It`s the mud that is detected to find coins, buttons, etc. I have found many things this way.

Cheers, Woolshed.

I have a group of friends that have the same interests and we meet every month to talk about our individual finds and plan for group adventures. They dont always work out. Thats me in light blue/green shirt with bald head.

One of our group adventures. I am taking the photos. It`s a water storage tank, about 30 feet down and twenty feet across on the inside. Access is by rope ladder. I wont do that again.

Checking the structure.

All ropes and ladder are fitted and checked. All three guys do this. Safety first.

All done , safe and secure. Long yellow tight rope is attached to the vehicle for quick pull out if need be. Safety First.

And in we go.

And down we go.

Now on bottom.

For our efforts, one stone Ginger Beer Bottle. It can be seen in one of the photos. But it was a good adventure and a day out. Thats what we do.

Cheers, Woolshed.
