As much as I hate what these shows are doing for the mining industries image in general, I'll be a good little sheeple and make a prediction. Next season Hoffman and Parker will come together as partners to buy the $ 2 million dollar claim. They will both attempt to get that additional gold they need this season but will fail in the end and be forced to come together. Big win for Discovery as the drama will be unlimited and they only have to run one big film crew. To preserve some sense of order they will have the Hoffmans start at one end and Parker start at the other then race for the gold to the middle. Good lord I truly hate these shows! It would be so easy for them to take a minute or two each episode to help us by explaining to the general viewership what is going on when it shows something questionable. How about one episode of behind the scenes showing reclamation? They could also help us by not allowing their cast to do stupid s--t like Tony B. dumping 10 gals. of fuel on his "lake" and lighting it on fire. I bet the F'n greenies loved that. Hooray for Hooeywood. Look at me I'm on TV!

I thought Tony and Parker would end up together this season..... And yes when I saw him pour the fuel in the water I was wondering WTF.......I hope someone calls them on it.

turd hoffman should have a radio show next year, all he does is talk on the radio to those actually working

You like snow? Aomori, Japan, averages 50-60' per winter!

curious as to what they do with the snow from the road? I don't see it .

Those are snow blower cuts. It was blown 100 yards away. Just like the RR's do when they cut their passes.

Does anyone know if the crew on Todds team get a percentage of the gold or just a wage? As it stated Todds partner Dave used to be hired hand but now is a partner, does that mean he just got wages, I'm sure a couple of seasons ago they shared a percentage of the gold out.

thanks.

From what I have seen on the show they give them their wages in gold.

I may be wrong but wouldn't cash be easier to deal with? With raw gold you have to either have it smelted and graded as to purity or sell it piecemeal on eBay?

I think they all have so much money, they are working for the bottle of gold
to set on the mantel.

Tonight is the last episode for this season. Does turd get to keep the rights to mine that land?????

Took them a week to come up with over 200 toz and a whole season for 1,000? Something smells fishy!

Well, once the old man stopped skimming the gold in his private cleanups they can show a LOT of recovered gold!

The whole thing is scripted, fake garbage anyway. We already knew last year they keep the ground.

Gold Rush is like "Wild West Alaska" although that show it even more scripted. However they are still fun for mindless entertainment.

That dozer Todd borrowed was seriously awesome. Dave was like a kid in that thing. And that final cleanout and getting the land means he'll be around a while. How much do you think were in those jars Jack gave out? 50 ounces or so?

Always great to see grandpa Schnabel. And damn that kid did well. 2538 ounces total. Parker's team is truly awesome.

Tony's dredge sure got off to a good start.

That ending was pure gold porn!

Any guesses as to who is quitting the mining gig next year?
I think it's Jack.

Gold gold gold! Pure gold porn agreed!!!

I think it's Jack.

Was it quitting mining or quitting the show? If it's the latter I'd guess Fred Dodge.

I don't watch the 'dirt' part regularly, I have watched the last 2-3, they seemed slightly different than I remember. Are they starting to have more relevant conversations? As in actually talking about mining?

Tod has a good sense of humor.

Tony doesn't need one.

If Parker had as much wisdom, maturity and knowledge as Christo expects him to, they would all be working for Parker. /dirt.02

Nice to see the crews getting some of that yellow stuff. Those amounts of gold can go directly to refiner.Though I wouldn't be to quick in thinking that's the case.

Toad lost a million ++++...Parker made a million + profit and Tony well he don't give a damn as he was concentrating on matters on hand aka Viking Gold Grabbing Barge. Kudos to his tenacity, stubbornness and what a pile a cash, million+++,invested also. Dodge boys kicked butt and just hitting the REAL glory hole area as proven....gotta luv them monster nuggets-John

Would love to see them add a cost per yard total along with the oz. count. With his dirt and drive that dredge gonna make them others look silly stupid! Was nice of Tony not taking Todds 25oz's of gold. Scoop, scoop, scoop, never stop no drama, scoop, scoop, scoop, scoop...........

Im going to step out on the edge of the creek now and say that this last show is meant to mess us up with their predictions! Parker is aquireing new land to work and needs his drill holes done to determine where they are going to work. thatll slow him up this year! Toad also needs to move his equipment and setup at the other end of this claim BUT to me , he will be a big show of force initially UNTILL Tony gets his setup running! I think Tony does have a Major plan and will be the big winner of the race for the OZs IF he don't have any major breakdowns which will ultimately happen to all partys! Lets see who wins this!

The Dodge boys had the lowest take, around 400 ounces. Doesn't matter if they were monster nuggets they were still 400 ounces.
