Diaz,
You might also want to add SS's offer to your item description on Ebay.
Something interesting, like "Have been offered a high dollar amount, but couldn't agree on international exchange rates."
That should get some attention.
Cool never thought about that i will keep :icon_thumleft:that in mind and please vote on the poll ,Thank you.....

Its a generous offer and possibly the best you will get. I would love to sell some of the items in my scrap bucket of unknowns for 30 dollars.

BTW maybe you should repost pictures of the item in question every few pages. Good luck with eBay and let us know so we can follow it and show our support.. It has little value IMO but someone may buy it just out of curiosity. Afterall 2 members voted over $20 and you only need 1 buyer. Too bad you cant see a Jesus image on it. DIAZ youve been a lot of fun and a good sport this time around.

I also agree that you can see rust color in the pits.
thanks for the input i will do that with the pics on this thread, and know its not rust in those holes its dirt that i didnt clean...........i didnt want to have to scrape it out and scratch the item up it really is rust free as you can see....

and a solid piece at that no holes through item just the thumbprints and flow lines.......

Believe it or not, I just got a letter from a gentleman in Nigeria the other day that would like to wire over a million US$ in funds into my checking account and for my assistance I get to keep some of it--apparently his brother used to work for the government or something like that. The timing is uncanny, just now when this item is about to go up for sale! So when the funds get transferred, I will give Silver Searcher a run for his money! I am determined to keep this one-of-a-kind item in the US!
Hmm...looks like I might get dragged into a bidding war on this one.:2barsgold:

Have you considered contacting the British Museum with this item and the story behind it? They might be able to identify it. But whatever you do, DON'T let them purchase it!!!
