Wow...this thread sure turned nasty..

Team: That second set of images you posted reminds me of the Moai statues from Easter Island. I still feel that this is naturally occurring, but that doesn't mean someone didn't use it as a marker to stash some booty nearby.

I know little to nothing about treasure marks left on rocks, etc., but if you feel there may be some historically stashed goodies somewhere close by, then it's certainly worth the time to do some serious looking around in the area. JMHO

As for the squabbling....

My thoughts are that it's a very interesting stack of rocks that the wind and weather created.
Follow your own unknowledgeable advice would be good.
Squabbling? Much like know not much at all's ganging up,
for what? All of the above:
True treasure hunter's thorns, mockers, & backstabbers...
So if really is actually "High Class", prove & just act like it.

Ha ha ... whew! I haven't dealt with this level of slings and arrows since Rangler accused me of being a "government sentinel" intent on destroying treasure hunting, or some such tirade. I even un-ignored a couple of the responders here to see their posts. No surprises, they're back on "ignore" now. That's what happens when you question claims on a public forum, I guess. Oh well...

First, cyzak. If you think that unsubstantiated quote you provided in Post 31 cuts the mustard, think again. No source provided by you. Not that it matters because the writer cites no evidence himself either. Gut feelings and a treasure magazine approach (sensationalism) don't count here, or shouldn't, IMO. Yes, my answer in Post 24 was opinionated too, I suppose (I'll stick with it), but my opinion was based on a basic approach to this entire subject - facts. Here, try this thread for starts, then if you care about reality, do your own detective work. Spoiler: it takes time and effort. https://www.treasurenet.com/threads/who-owned-those-spanish-mines.278600/

Now, TEAM. It looks like you're in a potentially interesting place. I'm in southwest NM. Is your site also in this part of the state? There's lots here. Lots.

Well of course it didn't,you never even answered my first question sdcfia round and round. so now after all these years you are admitting you are a government Sentinel I don’t know why you would bring that up.

You're on ignore now. Back with the echo chamber. To the other readers, I hope you benefit from the link in Post 44.

As a miner and prospector for over 40 years, I can tell you that this is NOT a natural formation. Using your theory that they are natural do to the vein running through the effigy vertically, please notice that the lower larger rock with the vein of quartz and feldspar, do not naturally connect with the smaller rock on top of it. The offset is an approximate 90 degree angle with a flat surface. In nature and mining in particular, rarely does one see a vein formation such as this with and abrupt turn in direction. Now, if the second rock was slid to the right, the veins would align with relative certainty that they were naturally in that position over the thousands of years affected by erosion etc.
HOWEVER, to stabilize the middle to lower rock, notice the hand stacked smaller rocks between the lower and middle rock joint. THEREFORE, I submit that beyond a shadow of a doubt that these rocks were stacked by human hands and not do to weather erosion. Update: I received an email from a well known treasure hunter who monitors this website with impeccable credentials as a geologist and historian who states that this is a genuine "SENTINEL" guarding a vault or mass burial site. The individual stated that he has seen very similar formations in South America and that I should remove these pics and subject matter from the site immediately as the Gov't monitors this site on a daily basis. I won't do this however....

Did he also agree that it's Aunt Jemima? That would date the treasure!

You have confused me with someone else. I never said anything about the vein in the rocks.

I should remove these pics and subject matter from the site immediately as the Gov't monitors this site on a daily basis.
I would hope they have better things to waste our tax dollars on.

The site is not close to where you are. The site is in central NM very close to the Jornada del muerto. To the West is Caballo reservoir. To the East is WSMR.

Just remember TEAM what they said to Mel and Kenworthy, the Spanish recovered that treasure long ago both of those treasure hunters made people look like fools.

I do not get discouraged, I just drive on as good soldier does. The heart discovered on the side of a mountain pointing to this stone carving 200 feet away.
