First of all, I want to congratulate you before this makes the banner.

:D Congratulations on the BANNER! That must have been so cool to see al that silver come out of that plug!

As far as the 1916 goes, I just can't see enough of the coin to comment.

Way to go man!

Ok how about a story? Were u at an old house, woods, field.....give us something! Was the coins in a jar, any pics of the container? Congrats on your find

16" Inches??..Damn...Where they Loose???..or in something???....was it snowy??More Details!!!

WOW, big congrats. way to go. you will be smiling for a long time with that find. lets here it. :icon_thumleft:

I was at a spot that i go to very often, at a Old Foundation. it was About 100 foot away from the house next to a Tree. I was told by my friend Lisa that a Cache could Overload my machine sometimes. On my Whites Xlt it said it was 10, 12, 11 then 8 Inches down so i was kinda confused. I stated Digging and still didnt see anything, I was about a Foot down when I was about to give up, I figured id do acouple more scoops and I hit the lid of a Jar i could see the jar a little and started moving the dirt with my Fingers, so I wouldnt break the jar the Lid was so rusted with a nice size hole in it, the dirt filled 3/4 of the jar i looked at the bottom of it and could see the outlines of the coins the lid crumbled when I opened it, I do however have the jar. Its in the Dishwasher right now cause im gonna keep the Coins in it on my Dresser. Ill post a pic of it soon as the dishwasher is done. Thanks for Voting Banner Wood... All and all its $7.40 Face Value

Now that is one great find :icon_thumright: Congrats and thanks for sharing :notworthy:

Great stuff..congrats on the cache. I hope it turns out to be a 1916 for you...maybe try getting a close-up in the Macro setting of your camera.

Good luck

fabulous find. :icon_thumleft: looking at the condition of most of those silver coins I'd say they were probably buried in the 1950's or 60's. Some of those coins have 50 years worth of wear on them. Some kid 40 years ago might have buried his coin collection. 8)

:hello2: Congrats! Definitely looks to be a 16 or a var.1. 17! Probably AG tho cuz of the missing date! , , Even so, you have about $150 worth
of silver there. (assuming there are no good dates!) Nice days work!! :icon_thumleft: Buscadero
