Forrest Fenn s treasure

Hello Pig
Or in the alternative; Fenn a man heavily burdened by debt, has the feds investigating him, makes most of his money off of selling books, is a grave robber, is a fast talking salesman- ECT.....!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. The truth is probably somewhere in between.

It was almost a waste of my life to write back to you on your shallow mislead facts, and pedantic ways: But I will.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. The truth is probably somewhere in between.

Oh yes Vor, I remember you. The (it) that came making accusations when you didn't know up from down or have a pot or a window: Just a short time ago. Frankly i'm too tired to go back and quote some of the nonsense you said when you first got on this thread. A lot of what you said was untrue and proven incorrect by many posters back then as well.
Back on topic I know everyone has an opinion. Its almost a cliche thing to say something like that (everyone has opinions) HA)) Do me a favor and tell me when anyone has forgotten that??? Since the stars had no twinkle! That has to be one of the top things in a argument to say when you dont know what the hell or what else to say...(well everyone has opinions) ....well no sxxx.
Tell us something we dont know like where the treasure is? Oh wait it doesnt exist! WYD HERE? :icon_scratch:

PS, Im not saying he wasnt a grave robber or investigated. Just so you dont go on some spiel about facts we all already know. You act as if Fenn is a nobel prize winner. Do you know how many books he has sold? Or how know he is in the writing business? Not very know at all. No need reply. But you will.

"It has always seemed strange to me...The things we admire in men, kindness and
generosity, openness, honesty, understanding and feeling, are the concomitants of failure
in our system. And those traits we detest, sharpness, greed, acquisitiveness, meanness,
egotism and self-interest, are the traits of success. And while men admire the quality of
the first they love the produce of the second."

- John Steinbeck, Cannery Row-

Can we all go back to talking about the search, the clues, the ideas and stop the "Who can slam who the best and last ". Agree to disagree and get back to the task at hand.

can we act like adults here at some point? feeding the trolls is making the thread a mess of insults and negativity, can we mute people so we dont have to read that stuff? in any case yes I agree with the person who said there are thousands of locations the start could be, thats the point. its so easy but only one place will fit all the clues. FF wanted people to go out and see the outdoors, he wanted it to take more than one time out to look. all treasures are possibly tall tales until someone find them. just because its not yet found dosent mean it wont be or that its a lie. Id love to brainstorm with others who are positive and willing to share their ideas if anyone would like to PM me im happy to chat.

Please stop the insults and put the thread back on topic so mod doesn't have to step in....

Youre just talking crazy,now.

This might be too far of a stretch, but when Fenn said "the treasure is hidden above 5,000 feet above sea level" - I read a possible alternate meaning that it's hidden uphill of a town with 2,500 people.

can you elaborate on what they see the meaning of that is like where did they get that translation? and where was this alternate meaning read?

OMG dishpan, Now that is funny. ROTFLMAO.
Good work. Now we need to find a town north of SF,NM in the Rockies named Elevation with a population of 2,500 where everybody has two feet. Keep up the good work dishpan.:occasion14:

Keep in mind, Fenn said a child could figure it out...I assume from the poem...so IMHO that means the poem means what it says...no word games, no codes, none of that stuff. If you can find the starting point, you can follow the clues to the treasure. That still leaves hundreds, if not thousands, of potential starting points in the Rockies.
Jim

I've read this a few times.."a child could figure it "....could you post a reference to where and when Fenn stated this...I only ask because I am 46 and a child of my parents...My children are 19 and 24...just trying to figure out the context of what was stated by Fenn (if any)...merriam-webster defines a child: a son or daughter of human parents....my opinion...age means absolutely nothing

I'm not there and never have been but it sounds like to me that there is a river w rapids and if you are brave enough to put in and go you will see the blaze. Idk. Like I said I'm not there and know nothing of the area.
Are there brown trout in all of the streams? What about Brownie Bass? I think the part about where warm waters halt could mean in the spring when the ice melts? Any streams that are dry most of the time until the snow melts and then it runs for a little while?

Keep up the good work dishpan.:occasion14:

Will do. Glad I could give you a laugh! Like he said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge."

OK, lets get back to the first clue, the starting point. Oh, by the way, where is that? Frank...
