Thanks. Maybe one day I'll buy batteries for my camera and I'll post some non-cell phone pictures.
I almost forgot. This marks the end of my first two months of CRH'ing. In that time I've found:
51- 40% halves
4 - Kennedy 90% halves
2- Franklin Halves
16 - Silver Roosies
4- Mercs
6- Silver quarters
1- silver 80% silver canadian dime


I'm pleased with those results. I think I'll continue for a bit.......

Another Good Day

I picked up two more half boxes today. I was honestly expecting skunks after yesterday, but I was pleasantly surprised to find more silver.

Box 1: 2x 40%'ers
Box 2: 4x90% (3 kens and a '57 Franklin); 4x40%

I couldn't believe the number of 90%ers in that second box. Box 2 had an ender and it was a 1965. For some reason 1965's have eluded me, this is my first one. The ender roll also had a '64 in it. I'll upload pics tonight. Two more boxes tomorrow.

It's funny, for the last week or so the skunks have been brutal and all those skunk boxes were littered with a decent amount of brand new looking '94-'98's. In these recent boxes there have been a bunch of coins with a particular searcher's mark and they were all near the silver. Invariably, I would find a marked coin and then think to myself: "more silver is going to pop out soon" and then it would. I've never been so happy to see a bunch of marked coins.

Picked up my last two boxes of halves for the week:
Box 1: 1x40%
Box 2: 1x1962 Franklin

The gravy train ended after 4 boxes, but I'm happy with the results. The Franklin is in beautiful shape. I might have to get some kind of holder for it. I have a ton to do all weekend so probably no dimes or quarters this week. I'll add a pic tonight if I get a chance. HH everyone!

Thanks. I hope your boxes pick up too. I can't believe I found 3 franklins this week. I way more than doubled my total holding of 90% halves this week. I can't wait to see if next weeks boxes are good.

Thanks. Since I'm new at this, I'm just trying to keep consistently pushing as much volume as my time will allow. I have bad weeks and I have good weeks, but I keep pushing volume. I'm going to try upping to ten boxes a week this summer if I can swing it time-wise.

haha. I don't know about me being the quarter king, but I've definitely found a handful of them. I'm at the point where quarters are making it into my usual pickups since I've been finding them pretty consistently.

Rough day. I thought I was going to get skunked. I stopped at a couple banks. I grabbed two boxes of quarters a box of dimes and one bank could only spare $100 MWR dimes:

$100 MWR Dimes: Skunk
Box of Dimes: Skunk
Box of Quarters 1: skunk
Box of Quarters 2: 1x1961 Washington

I also got this foreign coin.

yes. I googled it It's from morrocco. On the back are the numbers 1987 and 1407 and the number 1. It's 1 dirham which is apparently worth 12 cents. I think I'm going to start tossing all of these foreign coins into a bucket.

I would love to take that challenge, but I don't know if I have that kind of time. Maybe if I take a week of vacation time off of work, but then I would rather just up my half volume. I'm not that lucky, so far this week I've done 3 quarter boxes and only found one silver. I actually came up with my own challenge today. I want to see how many continuous days I can find at least one silver coin. Today makes the streak two days. I'm picking up two boxes of halve tomorrow, so we'll see if it continues.

Nice, one of my unwritten challenges is to get 1/2 ounce of silver each week for a total of ~26 oz for the year, in any denomination from war nickels to halves.

I forgot to mention the good news from today. It sounds like I may be able to start dumping halves via coinlock bag with immediate credit to my account. That would be awesome. Coupled with my other dump banks this would pave the way to the massive volume I want to search this summer. Right now I have enough order banks to order 24+ boxes per week. I just don't have a convenient way of dumping that volume of coin without it taking up a ton of time.
