Three days now and no fish,water is way above what it has been in past years.These ducks are here in the morning when we get here just waiting for goodies.I kept throwing them my pack bait,oats,creamed corn and powered raspberry jello.I'll be at it again in the AM,maybe I 'll get a BIG one,if not I'll just keep feeding the ducks.

What's happening then?

It'll be cooled off enough for the spotted bass to be biting better again. Also, it'll be easier on the fishermen! The humidity here in Alabama in the summer is suffocating.

... That record carp is a different sort of beast. Doesn’t look like the carps I know and have caught. Is that a horse conch shell? Did you eat it or find empty, I recall you talk about before.
... Actually that shell looks small beside that treasure coin hanging around your neck.

That coin does look kinda big.

For those that may not know, that is my son. He said it weighed 22#. Mr WD thinks his scales are off. He doesn't eat those.

Flathead?(The fish , not your son...)
Fun times fishing them in the past. They're different that channel cats which are our other option here. With flatheads more interested in live bait.
I enjoyed eating small ones now and then.

Had some flatheads in a fish tank awhile. Interesting fish for sure.
