Another good morning,two biggies and a squirt.I leave them on a stringer for the Nepalese.

This guy was staring,I guess he was wondering what I was catching,never came over to ask though.That bridge is 2 1/2 miles up river.

Second day in a row this fella was swimming up river.

When ever this guy sees me he stops what ever he is doing,(in this case digging in one of my tomato plants)and knows I'm always good for a bunch of peanuts.

That first one flipped onto a rock knocking off some scales,the Nepalese will finish the descaling.

We grilled one whole years ago... A bit muddy tasting.

I've seen vids of folks filleting them and removing any mud vein area ect..
my guess would be in clean(ish) water they would be fine table fare.
Smoked they should be great too.

We had a belated Father?s Day get together on Thursday. Mr WD caught this monster blue gill out of our pond.

Geez, Fat! It's almost as big as the little dude! We have those in our pond. My grandson had a blast reeling one in a couple years ago. They are fun! Did they take turns reeling it?

They caught him 3 times. Caught and released, than we found a scale in tackle box and they caught him again and we weighed him, around 9 pounds and released him again. 20 minutes later he ate the bait a third time and we decided he want to stay. We took him home and let the cats have him. He was a skinny thing and it took them all to get on the bank.

got home at 9 and my little pal was looking in the door for a handout,so I cracked the door and sat down,pretty soon he was stuffing his cheeks.

I planed on going again in the morning,thunderstorms going on now and into tonite and through tomorrow into the nite..crap! they get pretty intense.
