my wife and kid were riding home from the islamorada sandbar and got to witness something that most people will never see....a greater hammerhead in full shark attack mode !! He was very hungry and tore apart this poor tarpon. Have some longer vids I may upload.

Blew a shaft seal today in 8 foot seas....was at least 120 in the engine room. I would do 30 minutes in the boiler room and then captain would do 30 minutes !! It was brutal....I could hardly focus on the nuts and bolts I was working on from the extreme rolling of the boat. Finally after 2 hours we managed to keep the water that was coming in the boat down to a trickle from a river !! All it takes is the fear of god (sinking) to make one push through the heat and pain and do what it takes to keep the boat floating.....that was a close one today !! Still caught a couple mahi mahi even in the face of disaster. Gonna sleep good tonight .... I'm whooped !!

Yup....we got the new boat blues !! You know how it is WD....everything breaking all at once right after you pay the bill !! It's a boat !!

I'll have to post some old ones. My fishing has been non-existent for the last 2 years because I've been helping a buddy build his house. We built his barn first, then his house without taking a break. He's presently moving in and we are looking at a fishing trip or two soon. Been raining for 5 days now with the tropical storm moving thru. I'll get a couple up.

Thanks smallfoot....sounds like you deserve a nice fishing trip after all that work. Dolphin fishing is picking up....if I can keep a boat running we should be able to catch a few. Good luck out there with the fishing and treasure hunting.

Here's my best bass. It would have been better in weight if it had not just layed all the eggs. 27 inches would have put it in the 10 lb class.

My best friend is a charterboat captain and he caught the snapper 70 miles off the coast of Hopedale Louisiana. Huge!!

Simplex....you got all the bases covered....small mouth , large mouth, and striped bass !! Very nice mix of bass...congrats and thanks for posting !!

Well truth.....looks like I'll be coming to Louisiana to fish sometime soon !! Boss already said were going just not sure when !! That's a beautiful snapper truth....hope I can get one like that !!
