First Beach Hunt with the Equinox 600

I noticed "foil drink lid" as 5 on the chart. I can't even tell you HOW HAPPY this makes me.

Why is that? So you can ignore that signal? Do so at your own peril. The two nicest rings I've ever found (both woman's platinum engagement ring with big diamonds and valued in the $30-35K range) read 12-02 on the E-trac.....same as the foil drink seals.

How is it on gold chains.

Based on the chart gold isn't landing anywhere near the 5 that foil caps are coming up as. This machine uses a different method of processing than the e-trak so some heavy testing will be required when it gets into my hands. Without actually using the machine it's only wishful thinking at this point.

I'd like to see some reviews of the EQ 600 and 800 against the CTX........

Do I incorrectly see them as simple to use versus the very complex CTX?

GreenMeanie, if thats true, where do I sign up to get into his family?!

Sounds like a great first hunt, Terry! But even thought I knew you would like it I never thought I'd hear you use words like "replace my Tesoro"! That's saying a lot right there especially after only the first week of use!

From what I've seen gold chains give solid hits, but as "1".
That was a really thin chain...Im thinking gold chains will read 1 to about 5...right where the foil drink seal reads...:laughing7:

The test as I recall from the video also showed an Excal II failing to register any reading on the chain, so at least EQ was giving you a fighting chance.
