envy is a mean dog, if they didn't like this post why do they keep looking at it every time it is added to? Hang in there BVI. Some of us are really happy for you and hope you find the biggest treasure ship of all times. And we want to read all about it. If I can't be there to help and part take this is the next best thing.
now forget the na sayers and go get some more. happy diving

It is awfully funny that what I posted early this morning, has somehow mysteriously disappeared! I am sure that there was not anything derogative within the post! I just stated that I could not believe that a Poster would think that you were trying to pull off a scam and gave reasoning behind your methodology of posting.

From now on, I am going to save all of my posts to Notepad.

This thread is in need of dying !
I think i'm gona puke, yeah I just puked. 5 months no new info. I'm ashamed I even replied.

I'm surprised to see you make a post like this. Seeing your colonial finds I would think that you would be very interested in seeing what the OP finds. If you don't want to see it just don't click on it. Pretty simple.

Treasure_Hunter,

Can the Mod repost it without the quote? I think that it clearly made a point to those who would question BVI Hunter's integrity as well as his reasoning for not posting anything lately!

Frank, I'll see if I can get it back, I may have to copy & paste.

Really! I can't believe that you think that BVI Hunter is/was pulling a scam on us on TNnet! He has showed us quite a few finds from his' shipwreck site and devulged a lot of information and probably has been too free with both. He not only has to worry that the locals will catch on to what he has found but also has to worry about the Fruit Flies, Scallywags or whatever you want to call them that have picked up information from this Thread and have been trying to find and steal what he has found. Never show the cannibals your' steaks until they have eaten the arsenic laced potatoes is what I would advise! Then there is the whole problem with finding substantial proof that a shipwreck is there, seeking legal help, filing claims and obtaining salvage rights and finding a company or individuals to do or help do the salvaging before the Fruit Flies or Scallywags can move in. If you think that it only takes a few days or a few weeks or even a few months, then just ask some of the well known and experienced Salvors on these forums and you will find out differently!

WOW that is awesome !!!!! great find:notworthy:

After a find/s of such magnitude, I can completely understand BVI's need for discretion. Especially in the geographic location where it was found. I am sure that when he can post additional information or pictures, he will. If you have read this thread and followed it from the beginning, then you should have no questions as to why this is so very true. When you live amongst the wolves you have to act like a wolf. You don't dangle a piece of meat in front of a pack of hungry, predatorial, carnivores, lest you become dinner yourself.

I don't post much on these forums... but wow... scimming through this thread has burned an entire afternoon and cured my Monday blues :) Congrats on your amazing discovery, BVI! Looking forward to any future updates!

Hey BVI still interesting. Just got back from a tour and got schooled on the desalinization process. Make sure to keep up on it for some of the artifacts. Basically the salt can work its way into the metal on a molecular level. As it dries it expands at a higher rate and then breaks the metal down. That's why it has to stay wet. Some of your crust balls might hold some other valuables. Keep it up

hey, good to know - thanks!!!

Thanks all for your support, especially all the Mods, who ARE invited onto my Super Yacht (if I ever get to buy it!)

How about "cave divers" who find etched mud mounds BVI? I wanna go.... can I go?

Best of luck on your endeavor guy.... sounds like your doing what has to be done first. Most of us realize here on TreasureNet that we are on a "need to know basis". And thanks for sharing what you have and hopefully more in the future. Later.... Brad

Just as a note - seeing as so many have asked, one of the main delays in pushing things forward is the painstaking work that has only just got into motion regarding recoding all items found, and those still in-situ, which I believe is as important (well almost as important !) as just pulling stuff to the surface.

I have great help from a helpful person connected to a University in the UK who is pretty much an expert in Marine Archaeology.

this is sure to be a long process!!!
