an say we like The Outlaws, and that wild, noisy, innovative rock
that we sometimes treasure hearing. I don't like loud, or fast stuff
all the time anymore, though I don't want to get trap at all...

That relaxing stuff, is fer elevator music, I don't really like going up
in elevators much, but my music appreciation is still pretty high.
I like it most when the westerns play it, and then it sounds right on. ...

I still say ya don't appreciate good music. There are times when the whinney, self sorry music such as Roy Akuff grates out, 'that at times,' when I have been led into excessive alcoholic consumption by the modern day eves, such as Judy, Mast, and Unicorn was temp. accepted..

When I took my flight training with the US Airforce in Dennis / Sherman tekas, we were in a dry country, so we had to go to okihoma for their lousy beer and Good ole Roy - when i could appreciate his ?? I knew that I had had enough.

Like I had said in an earlier post, we were a brainwashed lot, I suppose.
But even though some called it Devil music, we don't. I still think
"Green Grass And High Tides" is about Heaven, and I will never
forget Hughie Thomason quickly stopping, and leaning
over his guitar, as the band stopped momentarily
on playing the song in a club and electrified,
calmly saying:

"To save your soul from hell", and then they resumed,
smoking their guitar necks, taking turns playing their
timely, well orchestrated three lead guitar parts..

Long story, but for example in Ole China they would take a bottle of very expensive booze, patiently drill a hole in the bottom with a hypodermic needle, suck out the booze and replace it with a liquid, if you were lucky and the perpetrator was feeling benevolent they din't replace it with errrr water from the toilet.

Tried some Los Cantinas, or something like that. They must've
used some good hops, had an interesting flavor, I found some
more, a little expensive, and they couldn't keep it in stock,
but yea, the Tecate, San Miguel is all good. Mondello is good.
I like the dark especially. All good spirits, like a treasure.

Yes them Irish did that huh? The Brits were a mean lot, bringing
everyone on the island into subjection. Is it possible that the 'ol
Highlanders avoided the Viking infusion of culture, and the
intermingling that most of the rest of Europe received
from those invasions...


Really don't mind orchestra music, at the opera, and on the good westerns.
I like Mexican music, love the guitar work, excellent. Can sense the passion,
just cannot understand the words.

Hilbilly was hard enough fer me ta get used to, but my cousin's
kind and gracious senorita translated at their karaoke party when
I revisited them once a few years ago, in Los Serranos...

There was maybe three Gringos, and two of them,

to go along with my Tecate with lime. Went down smooth,
but maybe a couple too mas...

Well, I got a phone call next day, before getting on
the plane, yes, I said, my head does hurt, and my
body feels like I landed in cactus. They were rolling
on the floor at the office, I flew over Vegas and to
Salt Lake City enroute, eventually recooperating
from the over indulgence. Them Swiss German
cousins are rascals, don't see 'em very often...

It looks like everyone is having a good old time over here. Thumbs up. I popped in because it always makes me feel good and it is easy to find a great laugh. I need one, not to mention some major whiney music that twangs my tears out. This is the worst discovery story I have ever had. You know when I was in NM over Thanksgiving? Well, we had the best house sitter watching our dogs. He is a mail carrier that loves each of our pups like his own. We got home and every dog came running into my arms for hugs, except for one. My littlest (and favorite, I admit) one; Madeline. It was then that my husband told me Maddie was lost. Our dog sitter was beside himself. It had been 5 days, so far. Every day since then, I have done EVERYTHING to find her. Nobody had seen her. Fast forward to yesterday. We live in a woody natural setting. After feeling like I had looked in every possible place, I walked onto the outer edge of the swamp (out of our electric fenced area) and found her collar, ripped. My heart sank. I walked further. Pieces of her pretty hair. Then, her bones beneath a bush. Now, this is a was a pain in my heart, and it is so broken. I have a high tolerance for pain, but this one did me in. So, bring on the twangiest, saddest song you can find. I will play it over and over, until I find what did her in.
