Relevent,
Here ya' go. Good songwriting, a smooth style.
A ballad of a real character. I don't know why,
the Federales, let that one get away, that is,
if they really did...
Did Jesse James really mastermind, and pull
off the robbery of a Mexican Federal gold
pack-train, down in Chihuahua?
Then lead the 18 burros, to the rocky and often
dry, Wichita Mountains, in the far Southwestern
corner, of the Old Indian Territory?
Surprised and caught in a blizzard, cached it,
only later to return, and remove it?
Maybe partly, to the location, having been
carved long ago, on the rock map way later
found, that was named and etched in stone,
The 'Madrugada Estrella Mapa Oro' ?
There has been some tantalizing evidence,
to suggest and indicate, it is very possible,
that he did indeed. No hard evidence, or
real proof though, of that supposed site,
has ever been disclosed, or proven, for
it to have been found, or exist...
The burnt pack saddle buckles, found after
Frank James indicated to the Dr., that he
was looking for something west of Apache,
on the north side of the old worn mountains.
That the locals, by observation of Frank's own
activities and attitudes, didn't believe that he had
ever found. Thinking, he was possibly even noticeably
frustrated about it, when he finally gave up, retired, left
and forever moved away, from the long hunted area...
Reckon Jesse could have moved it, quietly while
Frank was not around, to a secreted location,
and then never had the chance, to tell his
close, only brother, that he trusted about it?
Some well known local events, observed, and
documented in history. That was really witnessed
and recorded there, in the wild old Indian land,
of the ancient Wichita's...
