~ And my heart is sinking, like the setting sun,

Setting on the things, I wish I'd done...

~ Oh, the last goodbye's, the hardest one to take,
This is where, the cowboy rides away ~ ... ...:sunny: :fish:

~: Off into the sunset, like the western heroes do :~

~ Thanks relevent, good song... 8-)

Here's one that's:

Mountain (probly all real welsh hillbillies) country music,
(70's modern, but not the Nashville brand)... :sunny: :fish:

Was bored and drifted south one Christmas break. In Nashville the sidewalks was rolled up.
Middle of the night, no music,no musicians,(assuming there ever was from the looks of things). Just trash, broken drywall chunks in the street and people in a donut shop looking at me like I was nuts asking where Nashville was.

This needs a billhilly touch. Not finding whoever I used to hear sing it. Could have been grandpa; I suppose.

Sounds like a movie soundtrack, from 'the great generation era'.

That orchestrated big band sound, celebrating for years,
after the war. They started making expensive Western
Movies. The cost was doable, and times were good,
that is, progressing into very good, USA was #1

The orchestration in westerns, is a product, of
the talent, the cultural times, and artistic tastes... :sunny: :fish:
:cross:

Relevent, that does sound a lot like the intro,
possibly to an interesting adventure story of yours... 8-)

Relevent,

Here's another one, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band did,

that got some good air time also. I guess they made a

treasured livin', playin' their down to earth country sounds...

Reckon' the lyrics, are to help folks, to be able to understand the

various American hillbilly accents, while they're fishin' in the dark.

~ Just a little posters editorial note ~

I hope some stories, or music has been entertaining to some of y'all,

cause that's what it's intended to be for... Not to try and annoy, or

out do anyone else, or such. Just for inspiration, maybe to entertain,

for enjoyment, as some lyrics are about spirits. Some are about treasures,

or map clues. Perhaps, some were written to soothe the spirit, maybe even soul...

Myself, as a musician and varied songwriter, spirited treasure hunter,

know well, that different peoples, like various different styles.

My own appreciation of the fine arts, all of the performing arts,

literary arts, etc., is wide. I have been very fortunate, to have

been able to go to two classic operas, this past winter, while

I know, that many folks were dealing with severe winter storms.

The orchestration, singing, acting and performing, was phenomenal.

Both very enjoyable, I just have to watch, about it being so relaxing,

afterwards, having to drive back to the mountain home... 8-)

~ I thought about just letting this little thread ride off into the sunset,

as there seems to be lack of interest in sharing. Maybe people have ran out

of treasure stories, or interest. I have largely enjoyed, and very much appreciated,

peoples valued participation. The good stories you folks have shared, is sort of

a true treasure, that I will always hold high, and kindly value, all of the very

interesting life experiences, the true human sentiments, are priceless... :treasurechest:

DO TREASURES HAVE REAL SPIRITS?

DO SPIRITS COMPETE WITH OTHER SPIRITS?

DO MEN HAVE ULTERIOR MOTIVES FOR ACTIONS?

Sure, we all do, for one reason or another,

I'll let it rest at that. My sincere hope, is that

something here, a treasured story, a clue, perhaps a song,

has made some of you grin, or smile a little bit... :read2:

Because some of you have made me smile, even a lot, and I really

do appreciate that, more than I can say, THANK YOU! :toothy4:

If any of you may have smiled, then my hillbilly Indian mission is accomplished,

(big southern Indian grin)... :icon_thumleft::key::icon_thumright: :sunny: :fish:

Thank you for the fine welcome! I get a real feeling you are a real gentleman. You seem quite familiar to me. Hmmmm....! A little mystery on our hands?

Here's some more good entertainment, I happen to treasure. I think you'll like the guitar.

You are funny, I mean in a humorous way...

Did you help work on, or produce this music video?

Thanks for the little bitty shot of humor, and always, good luck to ya'... :sunny: :fish:

Wonder how well he did, working with the Disney productions.

Probly did OK, but what's up, with the peace pipe, and Indian scene... :dontknow:

Creative, mysterious and illustrative imaginations :laughing7:... :sunny: :fish:

What do all these videos have to do with "Do Treasures Have Real Spirits"?

Not quite classical, but here ya go Tramp. We sang this in choir in school.

Requiem aeternam
Requiem aeternam

Mama, mama, forget your pies
Have faith they won't get cold
And turn your eyes to the bloodshot sky
Your flag is flying full

At half mast for the matadors
Who turned their backs
To please the crowd
And all fell before the bull

Red was the color of his blood flowing thin
Pallid white was the color of his lifeless skin
Blue was the color of the morning sky
He saw looking up from the ground where he died
It was the last thing ever seen by him

Kyrie Eleison

Mama, mama, forget your pies
Have faith they won't get cold
And turn your eyes to the bloodshot sky
Your flag is flying full
t half mast for the matadors
Who turned their backs
To please the crowd
And all fell before the bull

Black and white were the figures that recorded him
Black and white was the newsprint he was mentioned in
Black and white was the question that so bothered him
He never asked, he was taught not to ask
But was on his lips as they buried him

Rex tremendae majestatis

Requiem aeternam
Requiem aeternam

What do all these videos have to do with "Do Treasures Have Real Spirits"?

Hi copperpot,

Why do ye like?

I reckon the videos, well sure,

they tell stories, and some of 'em,

do have potential treasures clues...

Just songs of the treasured spirits.

Have ye read thru the whole thread...

An if ye got any treasure tales to tell.

That's what these are, an intermission,

that is, tunes between spirited treasure tales...

So if ye happen to have any stories,

we'll turn off the tunes, an' listen well.

Who be it that's askin? Now, ye got the floor... :sunny: :fish:

Some are only liked by the treasure hunter/tress that posts. Some do relate directly.

Took my girlfriend with me today to begin the search after research of a possible cache site cash was observed burning at once in a controlled burn of an old house. I would be after silver coin due to previous owners habit of acquiring it on a regular basis.
Many things changed, including ownership's and land use and my notes and directions to location failed to allow locating exact site.
The most likely site was found but no cigar per owner matching one I was given.
(One with right name died near the time this site was reestablished).
What's left is a contact that is a once or twice a year deal. So.... Off we went searching backroads on a county line.
Found a very old lonely homesite foundation of fieldstone with lilacs grown all over and a few ghosts of former productive apple trees near it.
No, I didn't acknowledge possible concerns not mentioned that should be directed towards my passion. Took her for ice cream instead.

This history is spirited, and no doubt, an interesting treasure... :sunny: :fish:

All of the great modern, and useful things they brought with them.

Horses, 'course we all know that from school, but I can't imagine this place,

without horses, that's hard to think about. Buffalo and wild Horses...

Flamenco Dancing was invented in 1600's by:

[EDIT] "Southern" Spanish (country) Gypsy Dancers,

Time ta play the Outlaw gypsy Sundown song again...

Supposedly the first Europeans, to explore America...

That's what I used to believe too, though I'm sure

that's true for many (the most) interior areas,

that they probly were the first to explore.

Definitely the first, to conquer many... :toothy4:

First, dear Crosse', your thread is one of the most treasured and enjoyed threads known to both man and woman-kind, therefore it has better not disappear into thin air. You know, I have heard there are two mighty gals of the pirate type who enjoy the threat of a good old fashioned 'plank walk' every now and then. We would not want to upset them if this mighty story/song-tellin' space should ever bid us adieu. Second, RC. That sounded like a perfect date. Some girls never leave home without their lipstick in their little handbags. Me? I never leave home without my pinpointer, just in case!

Relevent,

Good story, thanks, sounds like good potential, 8-)
so very best of luck. I hope you're planning to
write yer journals, if ye like, also...

Maybe if you get her a neat little pinpointer.
[Edit] With the cutest lipstick bag it will fit in,
and she happens to help you find a nice coin
or two, then ye can get her hooked, game on... :sunny: :fish:

She uses too much logic to compliment my methods.:icon_scratch:
While physically not up to much field work , she does dig into online history across the state and were she not into other subjects would be a good candidate for doing research.
My hunts are usually slidin out the door quietly and coming back when done. Selfish sanity of a solitary pursuit perhaps.
Sometimes a wandering technique just to cure an wandering geographical itch more than scratchin dirt..
But she could holler and ask go too in advance. Not a problem ,less it's every time.:D

One Don Jose may like... :occasion14: :sunny: :fish:
:cross: :coffee2::coffee2::coffee2:

My guitar teacher in college, was quite a classical guitarist.

I never disciplined myself, to read music, or play classical.

He did give me an A, for my guitar and vocal performance,

in the Folk guitar class. :toothy2: Embarrassed me when he

said, "You have a good voice". Like so many welsh hillbillies,

and lots of country, or even city musicians, I play by ear.

Though I did have some piano lab, and music theory... :read2:

[EDIT] But guitar teacher told us he was playing rock music (dance)

with his buddies, in Riverside. When I asked him why, he said, it pays good.

I Jus' play rhythm, with mostly flat pickin', maybe arpeggios (finger picking styles).

This classical guitar work, is extraordinary, I think. Every good

vocalist, that doesn't play lead, has to find at least one,

very good lead guitarist, especially if they can sing harmony...

Or, a lead guitarist may hunt for a vocalist to work with.

Either way, it's a spirited treasure, spirits making sounds...
