Deus 11 vs 9 coil

I just find it hard to believe that ML would bring a detector to the market at that price point, that will basically out gun it's much more expensive flagship models.

Deeper, lighter, faster and waterproof???? Why even own/buy a Etrac, ctx or a Excal (unless you dive)

I have the 9" and 11" LF coils and just this week I put on the new HF Elliptical Coil and I am blown away with how great it is at the beach.
Check with our TNet vendors for your best deal on a detector purchase.
Good luck!

I have been dragging this Etrac around on a Detector Buddy, hunting Relics, for three years. Two trips in the field with this XP Deus, and I have a lot to learn but I see an Etrac with 3 coils and lower rods, and extras finding a new home!

Minelab probably thinks people will still spend 2 to 3 times as much for an Etrac or CTX to get all the bells and whistles, color screen, GPS, etc. Big mistake imo, Minelab has never understood customers put up with their heavy boat anchor machines because they had no choice, now they do. I swing my Deus for 2.5 hours yesterday, no fatigue on my arm, love that.

If the new ML performs well in the saltwater, heavy iron, and is deep then I will be selling my Deus. I have a feeling that the ML will be lacking in at least one of these areas. Looks more like a Go Find than a CTX. The $800 price point tells me all I need to know

The Deus will still be my primary machine. I am sure Minelab will not beat it on separation. But I would sell the MX Sport, Excalibur, and, gulp, my venerable F75 if Minelab pulls off the performance to match the hype. My main concern is that the 'nox will still be a slow poke in multifrequency even if they make it faster than the typical minelab vlf in single frequency. Also, though it may be light, is does not appear to fold up for compact travel like the Deus.
