Detecting in Saint Petersburg

Hey not a problem! Weddings and receptions are unpredictable. Also it's a special day that doesn't happen all the time so no worries. Have fun and I'll keep an eye on the forums. I should be open the next few Saturdays so we'll get together then.

The lot at 66th North and 9th has been used for a carnival in the past. They had no trespassing signs on the 9th street entrance, but maybe the church will give permission.

Another neat park, with some historic significance is at 27 47.260 E and 082 45.220 W. I've not hunted there yet because I prefer the beach, or large tracts of private property.

I knew there was a carnival there not that long back, but I didn't know there was no trespassing signs up. I saw some guys detecting there a t year or so ago.

I'm kind of a newb when it comes to coords... I can't seem to find those? Could you simplify them for me?

Hi Bran. Are you finding anything fun in st Pete these days. I found some great old, old horseshoes, buttons, and tools from a site on 4th st. North.

I haven't had time to get out since Dave and I detected a park on 49th St. Sounds like your site is much more productive. I've found a couple places here in town that produced some older items, but nothing that I could really date. I might try to get out some more at the end of the month when I've got 10 paid days off work for the holidays :-)
