Dent's Run News: Geophysical Survey Released After Lawsuit

Did you read the threads up until that feller got banned? It wasn’t for arguing or foul language.

A Mod. deleted the lengthy thread (with pictures and lots of inside information). I thought since it was such an active topic that it would have left it up for the benefit of treasure hunters. I trust their judgement. I remember seeing a picture they took inside the cave of a human skeleton holding Spanish silver coins and gems, which is a scene featured numerous times on the cover of the 1960’s treasure lost/found rags and within articles. I was amazed, it was something I had dreamed about as a child!!!

WayBack Machine probably has it archived. WayBackmachine
Check it out, it’s a useful website.

The only quote I can think of searching for has already been mentioned 2 two many times. But Hay
I remember the thread. Must’ve missed the picture.

Are you speaking of a thread on this site where you saw this picture? Was the thread relating to the Dents Run story?

Probably best to let Tesorodeoro clarify. Since a lot of those old threads are deleted over the years, its hard to remember things clearly. Could it have just been some images of who knows what, and the finder inserted his own captions of what it is?

So you do know this video posted earlier was inside the wash under the rock (the alleged cave). Does anyone see any rooms, gold, gems, coins, skeletons? Its about 23 feet in at the deepest point and ends abruptly where that heap of metal rods has been pounded into the fill under the trail.

I wonder how this mass of metal rods and junk, haphazardly jammed in the earth below the surveyed area might affect the results of the gravimeter data (the instrument used to survey the site)? I wonder if the surveyors were even aware of the presence of all this metal. The record indicates that investigators didn't climb into the void under the rock until 3/15 (the final day on site) before leaving the scene.

Obviously this was taken after the excavation. Looks like nothing now. It could have been all dug up during that event.

Does anyone see a skeleton, gems, rings or coins in the images of this post?

If my memory is correct (it might not be), there was several pictures posted purported to be a picture of a skeleton with silver coins and gems. I saw roots and dirt, but I know how folks can misinterpret what they see. I may have done that myself.

It would be wonderful to have a summary of all the threads so folks could look back. Problem is there were a few people that got banned for arguing the point of what the definition of what “is” is. Might not be safe to repost old deleted threads, especially considering that folks got ex-communicated during the banter.

Here we learn from the investigators what the void under the rock was like. (this excerpt from the record released by DOJ in FOIA files)

Read the record. No excavation occurred in the void under the rock. The excavation was above and behind the large rock. Not even the Plaintiff has claimed anything was disturbed in the void during the investigation.

Something like this maybe?

Could be tons of Spanish Silver??

I don’t remember exactly what was posted. I just remember being purposively misled and the thread being deleted and the author being banned because of the drama. Other people might remember otherwise.
If someone would be willing to mislead (thousands?) of T-Net members and audience they might be willing to mislead other people? Who knows. It’s a great story obviously. Maybe they will drop back in and update us? Hay, who knows.

I recall those pics.

Ya , a banned member left posts elsewhere that debunked claims of being robbed of gold by a night dig , quite well.
Including pictures contradicting someone's declared whereabouts timing.
Incredible that a theory like this could grow legs like it did. I remember being especially surprised by how it was sponsored despite it only being claims. Really contradictory to modern treasure hunting where we are really lucky to do some research, find some history or coins and post them up here to share and let others learn.

That whole thing was something completely different.
