Day 2 new permission. 5 silver's,1808 half cent, 2 large cents and a NJ copper!

Started back at the new permission this morning with a nice solid 3 inches of frozen ground. Started out with a new jersey copper, my first in almost 3 years. It's thick, but pretty warn. Next came the beautiful 1818 large cent. After that followed with my first ever capped bust large cent, 1810. Fourth copper was another first, an 1808 draped bust half cent!!!

After that little copper frenzy was over, I went back to the spot in the field where I found the silver's yesterday. I got real deep, scratchy iron signals, but with silver like numbers. All over a foot, I pulled out five silver coins in a 2 by 2 foot area. First was a Washington quarter, then a barber quarter. Then came another first for me, a 1918 walking liberty half! I nicked it with the shovel though. Darn thing was over a foot deep and since the signal was faint and scratchy the pinpointing was off. Then ended up getting another barber quarter and a washington!

Also got several relics. The usual buttons. Not sure what the large brass horn shaped(pipe shaped) piece is. It was deep. Nice bone handled pocket knife and a few other odds and ends.

My best coin day by far. So thrilled and on cloud nine! HH!

Congrats, I see why you're on cloud 9, and dream of a day like you had. Were you in bp mode for the deep silver?

That Quarter admission fee is paying off BIG TIME! What an EPIC hunt. That's a Dream day for many of us. Congrats on all the great finds, love the Coppers! Hope there is more waiting there for you!!!!!

Now I'm really curious as to what kind of trade took place in that area - the sheer volume of good coin finds is suggestive of a
brisk business of some kind .

Wow, wow and WOW!

BEAUTIFUL Dude

While there may not be a single banner item in the bunch , I'm voting banner because of the rarity of finding ALL of those in a hunt ,
and the age ,and appearance of these on the whole is spectacular !- the silvers in addition to the Draped Bust Half Cent
the Classic Head Large (1810)- this is a very special day you had !
Heck, if three wheat pennies and 2 stamps is a banner find surely this has to be also. I'm voting banner as well.

Wow - You are killing it at that site. Hammer it!!! I would initiate some security protocols for such a productive hunting spot. Do what I do -

I love those fresh out of the dirt pictures.. You are on a good site for sure. In two days you have done a good seasons worth! Keep on it and good luck!

Dang!! that is one heck of a hunt in a great site!! Congrats!

What an amazing assortment of loot!, that's a fantastic haul, jealous guy here

The hunts like this one are what make it that much harder for us in the North, but I honestly am glad you've found this site. Your coins and relics are perfect examples of what we all are looking for!

That hand full of coins picture is just spectacular! Congrats on a truly epic hunt!

Wow what a good spot you have pound that place good...

Thanks guys. Still relishing in the moment.

Great coins. That Half Cent is in real nice shape.

A fistful of Beautiful Coppers and Silvers covering 3 centuries!!!!, that is probably the coolest picture I have seen on T-net. I hope to see it make the banner. Your hunt (finds) and particularly that photo will be a Beautiful addition to "our" Banner finds and should be up top! Congrats again!
