Cz & Lucky Buddha finds me a Cache!!!
Hello all,,,
Can you see the smile on my face?
I haven't posted in best finds in while, so I figured this would be a good spot for this.
My cousin couldn't make it today, so I decided to stick fairly close to home. I went to a place that has been around since the early 1800's , but it has never really had all that much public traffic. I had been hunting for about an hour & a half and all I had to show for it was somekind of token and a 1977 Roosevelt dime. I was heading back towards the car still swinging along the way when I got a good high-tone at over 8" down. I had been digging deep iron targets quite a bit, so I wasn't all that excited about it. I dug down to about 10" and my knife goes right through the foil type lid of a jar. I thought to meself, I couldn't be that lucky for it to be a cache. I dug around the jar so I could get it out of the dirt and when I lifted it, I could here a jingle.
I started shaking the jar to empty the dirt and the silver just started pouring onto the ground. I was STOKED!
I could not believe my eyes there were Barber coins all over the place. I picked up a bunch, wasn't even sure how many and stuck them in my pouch. I was getting ready to fill in the hole and run to the car to show off my finds and realized I had better check around to see if I got them all. It was a good thing I did because I found three more Barber quarters mixed in the dirt. I scanned an area of about 5 foot before I left, just to make sure there wasn't more around.
The total was:? 8 Coins?
1906 D Barber Half
1917 Walking Liberty Half
1920 Standing Liberty Quarter
All the rest were Barber Quarters:
1894
1898 O
1907
1908
1908 D
Once I got home, and after I had to take a look at the finds, I rinsed the token off with some water, only to find out it was a LUCKY BUDDHA token... It sure was lucky for me and I'm going to have it with me when I buy a Powerball ticket for tonight.
Hope you all had? the same luck...
Good luck & Happy hunting~
P.S. I'll try to get some close ups of the coins later tonight, I have them soaking in water at the moment.
