It puts power into cigarette lighter/power port to keep presets on radio/ some computer functions powered up to not loose information when regular battery is removed from vehicle or disconnected. Also keeps radio from thinking it's been stolen. Hondas were bad about this...

Being one always looking down, to watch my step,

I saw a glint in a parking lot today.

I walked over and picked up a nice square cut, 5 mm, pinkish-purplish, high quality cubic earring, set in a .925 silver mount.
