Chess master is an AI game. Careful 'puter will and can whoop you!!.
There are a few that allow you to play one on one. If you know your bro's username, you can engage him only.
The first time I played Chess master (purchased software) I got stomped!! I figured out I did not choose an AI "level". I was playin' the "chess master" 2600? whom is based on the current master (was) (old software)

You on your end, and I on my end playing via the internet. I thought that's what he meant. That sounded sooooo cooooool. Chess masters I think he called it. Oh yeah I went back and researched my skills a little rusty, E4 is an opening move..... and not my final rank hahaha. Tell you how I learned to play chess. My uncle. Mothers brother. Both parents worked. I was 5 couldn't go to school until he showed up to watch the you guns . So he had a Bud in one hand, and a Marlbboro in the other. He'd take a big drawl of that cigarette , hold it..... Then puff the smoke towards the sky,then move. I'd move...... He'd take a drink of his beer, slap me in the head " Boy you can't move like that " I was 5 and that's how I learned to play chess.. From a drunk, hustler. Lots of great stories about him . He's in his 80's has dementia ........ And has a 5 year old yes do the numbers!!!!! I thought for years my name was " BOY" He had a stroke was in the hospital back in 2005. I took his wife to see him. He was being belligerent. I turned the corner and said " old man just like I promised you the BOY is now here to change YOUR DIAPER NOW SETTLE DOWN. .........he thought for a minute and sat right down. He said " Son where have you been" remember my grandmother, he and others raised me. He taught me a lot about survival skills....He's still kicking, but mean as hell with his dementia.... I love him. I was only 5 when he taught me to play chess

Played chess, never excelled consistently, but that depends on opponents..... rusty stuff now though.
Moved two pawns out to allow bishops movement usually, to start.
