I'm sitting in Portland ME and the clouds are thick....

I'm asking about the Aurora light show. Lightning I get in Florida, and lots of it.

I've never seen the Aurora. We were clouded over last night too...

The news said it could be seen south past here.

Ahh. I'm quite south of uncle Bill .
Around the coldest winter nights we get to see some, neater n heck but it's kinda rare here.

Hey, any of youse guys up in the frozen north getting a light show last night and tonight?

How about some photos?

Haven't seen them for quite some time, my Friend,

And, it was pretty much a "year-around" type sighting....
But I remember, up in Kansas, MANY years ago,
They looked like this:

Best,

Scott

By the way,

You use the vernacular of "youse."

(Yes, I'm a fan of etymology.....)

Yet you project a location that is contradictory.

Sorry.

I'm lost and I've forgotten my compass....again..

Or else,

I'm not paying attention.

Perhaps....:icon_scratch:

Certainly.

That is the reason of my confusion.....

I must have got lost....

For my Friends, I offer,

"J. Geils."

(Jump to 2:30 for music)

I remember this song when I was just assigned my Duty Station,
Back in the Fall of 1977.

I had just finished Basic and AIT "stateside" and was given leave before shipping overseas.

My leave was during Christmas, 1977.

Scott,

I'm wondering if correspondence courses would be an option for you rather than pulling up stakes and moving out of state.

It might be more cost effective also depending on the school.....food for thought.

Regards + HH

Bill

Bill that is a great option. Online college courses are offered today

Scott I missed something... :icon_scratch:Why don't you stay where you are?
I would think that being a locksmith would be a good career...but I might be missing even more of the original something I was missing ....:laughing7:

Two minutes and thirty-eight seconds of my undivided attention. (Rare event).

Ah,

Once again, my Brother, you stir, nay, evoke? Memories of the past.

How 'bout Heart's 7th album, released in 1983,
Titled, "Passionworks?"

Cue up side 2, cut one....

(For my locksmith Friend)

RC, Be safe considering your weather!

Best Wishes,

Scott

You know, words and all....

"Allies"

In troubled times
It's hard to get straight answers
Between the lines
That border wrong or right
The homeland cries
It struggles with confusion
But this feelin' still remains
Like shelter from the rain

We live of faith
In the hands of those who guide us
And tear the page
On the fear we left behind
We set the pace
For every born survivor
Don't turn the other way
When I need to hear you say

Allies with our backs against the wall
I will answer when you call
And take on the odds
For what we believe is true
Allies in a world of too much choice
I only need your voice
To tell me you care
I'll be anywhere for you, allies

We search our hearts
To justify the reason
And draw the line
To meet somewhere halfway
If faith is blind
Through darkness it will guide us
'Cause the spirit still remains
With the keepers of the flame

Allies with our backs against the wall
I will answer when you call
And take on the odds
For what we believe is true
Allies in a world of too much choice
I only need your voice
To tell me you care
I'll be anywhere for you, allies

Allies with our backs against the wall
I will answer when you call
And take on the odds
For what we believe is true
Allies in a world of too much choice
I only need your voice
To tell me you care
I'll be anywhere for you, allies

Bill,

I'm always a ramen packet away from going hungry.

Does it really matter where I hang my hat at night?

My only concern is to advance my academic credentials to be able to achieve my goal of helping my fellow Vets.

Lord knows some of the places I've been WITHOUT even a ramen packet....

I will look into your suggestion, though.

All possibilities and options will be considered.

Thanks!

Best,

Scott

Yeah.

I'm on board, Brother!

Thinking ahead, as is my wont,

A song may be inspired in the next day or two....

A "Night Move....."

I keep on writing lyrics and playing chords and one day.....

We'll ALL share in the richness of the search and collective work put in!

My Best Wishes,

Scott

Yep.
An Ovation. AGAIN! Just like your post of Heart.

LOVE me them Ovations!

Once had a 6 with a pick-up.....

sniffle....

Be strong, my fellow musicians!

Play music every day.
Write music every day.
Live music every day.

Good night, Friends.

"Scotty Out, over"

You will kindly cease and desist any further songs by Ann and Nancy,
UNLESS and until you provide your favorite song from this album, to wit:

Mine?

Side one. Cut two.

Best Wishes to all!

Scott

Yep.

I attended a Heart concert, one of many; this one was in Topeka, Kansas, on my Birthday.

My Lady had bought the tickets previously and we rode to Topeka on my Bike.

When we got there, who did we see but our favorite scum, Phred Phelps.

This was when he was just makin' a name for himself.

It turned out that we were not caught up in the shameful display some show hiding behind the Constitution sometimes.....

Small world...

So I land at Bangor ME and am hauling my junk out of the airplane. I get into the lobby of the General Aviation building (FBO) and lean my stuff against a chair.

Some guy (another pilot) points at my GTI 2500 and said, "I've got my AT PRO" with me- and off starts the conversation.

I find out he's a TN member (Captain Kirk) and has been looking for a hunting buddy in Bangor while he's here.

Unfortunately, I was landing, and he was taking off- Hopefully we will cross tracks again, and I'm always ready for a hunt.

So there Dieselram- We on for the school hunt tomorrow evening? (we almost had another hunter with us)
