Good lord. I guess we won't be going..... Glad after all these years those guys are still going. I think Keith Richards is what? 300 years old ? Haha

I think I paid about $20.00 too

Think Keifer is a Great-Grandpa... Mick, too!

A while back, Keifer must have had "good stuff" or was drunk; he thought he was a monkey, climbed a coconut tree... and fell out; ONLY a MILD Head Injury & BIG headache... HA!

I would love to see them again, but I refuse to even pay the price of the nose bleed seats.

Like Rod Stewart, first concert I paid $8.00 to see him in 1971 on Faces Tour, last time I paid $100 ticket and that was in 1993....

There are people with connections (and kickbacks) who make a living scalping tickets.

And they make a really good six figure kinda living.

Sad...

Guess it's back to doing it the old fashion way.

Break out a reel to reel tape deck and a bag of weed~

Yeah, I also saw/heard Roddy & the Faces... in Charlottesville, Va. Ronnie is now a STONE!

Ronnie & Keifer "trade" AWESOME "licks"! "Start me UP! Where's my Viagra!"

I had an Akai reel to reel with Sansui 5000 amp/tuner and Sansui speakers. Bought it in 1968 in Okinawa, reel to reel lasted for years but died from constant traveling on the road. Still have the speakers, the amp died after 30 years.

My wife got an urgent all call that came thru her Facebook page, seems a young Marine has passed and will be landing here at the Melbourne Airport. They need flag wavers to line the streets msg said didn't have time to get escorts....... They were looking for as many people they can get to show our love for the Fallens family. I will be there tomorrow with my 9 y/o grandson..... He wants to go......... And I want to show him the cost of war.......we talk about death from time to time on his terms. When I die I don't want it to be harsh on him.... He is after all my swim buddy! Speaking of today he held he's breath underwater for 1:15 minutes!!!!!! He's been getting training for a long time...... Good night..... Not looking forward to tomorrow .........

Well we went to the airport as asked. I was impressed. For the word to go out via Facebook at 2200, I would estimate 500 or so people showed up to show our respects for the fallen. He had a police and biker ( mostly prior service) escort. I told the 9 y/o "I'm proud of you. Today you showed respect to the fallen , thank you," he said " why wouldn't I grandpa ? You were a soldier too" oh the things he says....... a young man well above his years.

In watching the news today, they said he was an Army SF support soldier who was found unresponsive at Bagram....... Maybe someone using Facebook just wanted to get the word out I guess...... It doesn't matter, he was one of us.

How come nobody is talking about their 8-tracks?

Had one in my 67 Galaxie 500.

It ate my favorite ELO tape.
I pulled over to the side of the road, rolled the window down, yanked the player out and threw it in the ditch.

Yes, I still have some 8-tracks and a player!

2GF,

Thank you for showing respect.
Many others would have also come including me...

You certainly are showing an honorable, compassionate and leadership manner to your grandson! :notworthy:

Heading off to my mountains for a few days for my birthday.

Thanks to all for the well wishes! :occasion14:

My Best Wishes,

Scott

Just finished hand-writing a note(a full page) to my Aunt, my Mom's older Sister, who had sent me a birthday card. I thanked her and gave a brief synopsis of the past few months for me.
I'll mail it from Dahlonega tomorrow on my way to the mountains.

She used to be on the interwebs, but I'm not sure if she still is.
I sent my email address, in case she is back on....

She has always faithfully sent me a birthday card and Christmas card every year for many years.
I always think of her as my "Second Mom."

Gee.

I asked my locksmith Friend today when was the last time that he sent a hand-written letter to a Friend or Family member?
His reply?
"Never."
Really?

I Guess That.....

I AM GETTING OLD!

It appears that kids now days don't appreciate a REAL letter. :icon_scratch:

By the way,

"Get the hell off my lawn unless you're mowin' it!" :laughing7:

Say,

Perhaps I should check the weather for the mountains this weekend......

Nah. Don't matter.
I know how to do any weather by now....

Best,

Scott
