Its Friday night, its raining as usual, giving me flashbacks to England, where is everyone?

Dry here. Nice. A small rabbit keeps going in the double kennel next to the fenced back yard because it is overgrown. Dogs getting lots of entertainment but it don,t care.
Hope it don,t share any fleas.
Here's a rainy day rerun for ya 2 G.F.. and don,t trip on that beard. L.o.l..

RC never heard that song before but thanks I like it. Heard from momma tomorrow she's going to a true place of honor and valor I have never been Pearl Harbor. I asked her to take a lot of pictures for me. Funny I've never been there but been to Okinawa, Japan and Korea

Mastiff4me,

What type of snake is that little critter??

I spent 35 years working for the railroad....unfortunately in marketing....lol....so not sure on the use of the J shaped items....one thing I can tell you is check the railway spikes....if they are older date stamped they are quite collectible.

Regards + HH

Howdy Bill. It's a Dusky Pigmy Rattler. Only about 14 inches.

I have a great new spot to hunt where the early railway used to be was here, that used to haul lumber from the mills (2) around here. Tomorrow morning, we are headed out to explore more of this old property. It is awesome and wild. There is a certain area I can't wait to get to, which lies the foundation of a great home and the remnants of slave quarters :( which were once there. I think it will be very interesting.

I also found some old rectangular iron plates further in the dirt, that I think once helped house the spikes, maybe in places where the soil/rocks were too loose? Not sure. And, lots of iron square things that look like some form of bolt. But, I have never seen the J things either. I will check it out on the internet. I am hoping I find some former mill tokens. I have yet to find a single one.

Anyway, thanks and happy trails, to ya'll!

Wow! That's fascinating. My grandfather he is 94 now grew up in the swamps as well. His story's are always fascinating as well. I value every one of them.

Friends,

The oral stories of the past soon slip into the past.

I regret the missed opportunity to spend with my deceased elders to learn of their life and experiences.

If you have opportunity to spend with elders, do so.

(Ask about treasure stories....)

Hope all are well,

Scott
