Crispin,

At least you got to swing the coil and got a bit of loot for the coffee jar......I thought I was the only one accused of robbing the craddle......lol....

Glad you managed to get to meet Pat the cat and had a great brunch.

Regards + HH

Bill

This is what I raided from Hollywood in 3.5 hours. Told PTC where to find the coin line I landed on. I suspect she will be looting there soon. It is loaded. Just couldn't get the coil over gold.

News flash! G.I.B and I will be repelling Zombies tomorrow at the Gulf! I'm bringing the Greek Fire. He is bringing acetylene torches and a flame thrower. If we don't make it back...well, it was honor to know you all. I will also deploying a new antibody that attacks undead mitochondrial DNA from the maternal side. Only problem is I will be using a blow gun to get the darts in....got to get real close. Inhale too much...and you swallow the wrong thing...

Night all, the drums from the east are calling me...Monday Night Football.

Crispin

Chris,

A bit of native trivia for you.....Did you know that the hard rock cafe is now owned by the Seminole natives of Florida.

My understanding is they were the only native tribe that didn't get conquered during colonial times or sign any treaties so
they have lots of land and loot.

Ah, yes.
Chemicals. All found within Nature.
And perimeter defense.
Yes.
Between military training and picking up things on my own,
I'd just have to say that y'all need to be careful with that kinda stuff....
ya know, "If ya play with fire....."

(Wish I was there.....)

Good Luck, you Kids!

Best,

Scott

Hollywood, Florida I take it? I stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood and could not believe all of the memorabilia that was on display there, it's quite the place.

You know, having been in truck stops all over and restaurants that were "theme based," I knew clear back in the 80's that guys like those "pickers" you see on TV were filling a niche, making good money and living their dream.

Alas, I had the vision, yet not the start-up capital.
I also knew about the "storage buyers" at about the same time.
I've always been pretty knowledgeable about antiques and collectibles having worked for an Auctioneer
and even done a bit of auctioneering myself.
(There's another story here that I'll tell later....be sure to remind me, OK?)

What do I see now that might be hot in 10-20 years?

I'll get back to you with a prospectus.....

Best,

Scott

Good Times; GREAT money!

Me and my friend Ms. T had our tekker club meow(meeting) tonight. Good turn out, a few nice finds.
Good luck to you guys tomorrow. We gonna tear up the beach, too. Just not sure which one, yet!
Everyone hang in there, the wind'll die down by end of the week or so,
then everyone, BACK INTO THE POOL! :laughing7:

Thanks Sir Crispin.......I still like that your name reminds me of a knight

My Friend, 2GF,

I personally have found that working puzzles like Sudoku, Word Search and Crossword Puzzles
helps to keep me mentally fit and to focus on the puzzle at hand. I have found this tack to be
a focus that I enjoy and look forward to.
I have puzzles beside me at the computer, in the throne room and at bedside.

One word of caution in my case;
They can be addictive!
If I can help or you just want my opinion(for what it's worth)
Just PM me!

I, and everyone else is here for you, Brother!
We won't let you down!

Now, about my opinion,
for what it's worth....
The very first song I taught myself to play on guitar....

Do you play an instrument?
Wanna learn?
I often times try to think of a song or two that I want to hear that just "sums up" how I feel.
When I can think of none, I tune up the ole box and play my own feelings....
Music is part of my therapy.

Best,

Scott

:icon_thumright: It's funny that you mentioned that Bill because I told my Wife the same thing when we were there and she didn't believe me at the time. The place is like a small City with a whack going on all of the time, smart folks those Seminoles.

Hmmm...

I see that we have several "Talking Heads" fans.

May I play one of my favorites?

Oh, the imagery...

Thank You!

Best,

(Nightmare fuel...)

In real life, this clown wouldn't stand a chance.
I'd kick his a** just for practice.
But in dreams, HE'S THE BOSS!
I HATE clowns!

Good night to all and a productive week ahead!

Best,

Scott

PS.

Did I mention that
I HATE CLOWNS?

gacy.webp
(obscure?)
From my personal studies of...

Anyway,

"I'd like about 10 minutes with that clown... Oh, Yes. I'd surely give him a bad haircut..."

(My Grandfather was a barber and I'm guessing that at least 2 stories would come from that.)

Dang. Guess I'll start a "story list."
Y'all help me remember these stories, please...

Whar's my comfort food?

WHAR?!
Ah,
Here it is.

(Y'all ever see black sesame seeds?)

Just made.
Plenty for all.
I can make more...
Got wasabi, soy sauce and
sirocco sauce.webp
Bring enough Saki for everybody.
I'll require about a pint or so....umm...for cooking use....of course

And now, a song about barbers that I'll bet ancient aliens and you never suspected Scott of knowing..."

Bravissimo!

-------------------------

(Just between you and I, Scott fancies himself as "cultured."
Yeah, he's going to college and all, tryin' to stay young, I guess,
but sometimes he get's a big head, ya know?)

--------------------------------

What?
Y'all talking 'bout me?
Shoot, talk on!

"I'm making a list of stories to solidify my nomination as 'Storyteller'
here about in these parts...."

clint 2.webp
"Is there a problem here?"
------------

I have now at least a half dozen stories noted just from my thoughts and reminiscences
to provide amusement and entertainment for my Friends.

Have you stories or experiences that may draw upon my memories?
Have you ideas of situations?

I think I already told the story of eatin' dinner at my girlfriends house one night....

How about the time my Mom cussed the Police 'cause I didn't come home one night?
Yeah. At the girlfriend's house ALL NIGHT!

Ahem.

My Mom was so worried...took me a month of extra chores to get right again.
(Yeah, it was worth it...)
Please see below...

But,

Ya know,

STORIES?

jimmy durante.webp
"I got a million of 'em!"

Best,

Scott

PS.
Speaking of "stories,"

Here's the "Stories" doing,

"Brother Louie."

Enjoy!

My Best,

Scott

By the way, I was introduced to

Rossini, Bizet, et. al. when I was about...
12 or 13? :icon_scratch:

Later, when I was in High school,
I was the main spot light from stage right for a Kansas University production of
"Annie, Get your Gun!"
About 1976?
My High School English Teacher was the Director.
Art Sloan.
http://www.lawrence.com/weblogs/gotkids/2006/jan/26/art/

I can hear him even now....
directing,
in his perfectly interpreted vision....

of...

But, after so MANY takes, the words sometimes became skewed to:
"I've no business in show business, I've no business that I know.
Everything about it is appalling, "

Well, you get the rest, right?

Best,

Scott

GAK!
All of the rehearsals, so many cuts and retakes...

But,
On opening night.......

And a standing ovation requires another cast stage front....

It's all worth it!

From above...

y'all keepin' up, right?
Female singer is.....Who's been paying attention?
C'mon...Ellen.....?

(sorry, I've often been accused of "being all over the map....")

One final note...
When the KU Jayhawks won the Basketball National championship in 1988,
I was inspired to attend higher education.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kansas_Jayhawks_men's_basketball

When Lawrence had the parade, the theme was "The Hawks spread their wings as the fat lady sings."

At the very end of the parade, in a convertible standing up,
dressed in this
type...
of...

opera woman.webp
was Art Sloan!

Anyway,

I've made note of a coupla more stories....

did I tell the one about tryin' out for college baseball?

Jayhawks win the National Basketball Championship in '88?
Hell yeah I got a T=shirt!

1-IMG_0876.webp

One more "comment" about my participation of "Annie, Get your Gun,"

You may have to click on the wording a coupla times to see the video.....

Let's get real...

Who's up for some Metallica?

Rock on, my metal Friends...

Best,

Scott

"Sandman" was code for.....
Everyone "sleeps...."

Almost all of my military stories can and never will be told.

Those that can have been duly noted for future tales....
