Folks,

You morning laugh.
Woo whoo! One more year to go! I knew I could hold out! :laughing7:
That stack of bills that comes every month, didn't fool me in to thinking, I was all growed up! :laughing7:

Don,

One of my older brothers was a pin boy for awhile but packed it in after a few months....I guess he didn't enjoy getting dinged in the shins by the flying pins...lol.

Regards + HH

Bill

Scott,
I used to set 'duck pins' at a bowling alley in Norwalk, Conn. when that Patsy Cline song was a hit; a mere 50+ years ago.
Wonder if anyone else remembers 'duck pins'; small bowling pins where you were given three rolls versus two rolls to knock them all down.
Don.....
PS: I'll bet fewer still remember 'pin boys' who set the pins before automatic pin setters.

G.I.B. and Bill,
Thanks for the pic. Yes, that could have been me in the pic; not the boss man (he had to be 16 years old) but one of the 'hey, boys'. That pic made me think of two other aspects of that job: we had to bend over to reset the pins AND pick up each ball and place it in the return tray. My back !!
Second, you may not be able to imagine the noise at that end of the lane versus the start area. And Bill, yes, we could get hit; I felt at times as if I were the target versus the pins. .............all great memories (at least the ones I have chosen to remember.)
Don.....

I thought that they were angels, but much to my surprise!

Some of you may remember the group called The Ventures. They had one big hit that I can recall: "Walk Don't Run". Do you remember the drummer's name? It was George Babbitt. Does that ring a bell with anyone who was in the Air Force (as I was)?. You'll be surprised what that drummer went on to be........enjoy:
STUMPTOWNBLOGGER: WHAT A COOL VIDEO!

The Ventures I was 15,WOW what a time in my life!

Don,

I remember that one well.....he's still be good on the skins.....looks like he never lost his touch.

I reckon kids of today wouldn't recognize this!

Backbacon... fantastic hit on the silver. Have you run a magnet over each coin?

View attachment 890747

All of them are non magnetic and they are still in the plastic sealed at the RCM. The Ad will run in tomorrows paper with no description of the coins in order to keep the calls down to a minimum.

Hello everyone! It may seem as I have abandoned Tnet as I have not been on lately, but that is not my intent. I have to attend to some things right now and will be a scarce sight on here for a while. I will pop in from time to time but it may be some time between visits. As soon as things calm down I will be back on regularly, however it could be two days or it could be 6 months before I can be back on regularly. I hope everyone is doing fine and will do my best to stop in as much as I can...
