CRISPINS CRITTERS

Folks,

Since I'm a bit of a music freak.....there's probably about a dozen or so artists that were the founders of Rock and Roll..
If I had to narrow it down to 2 main artists.....I'd have to go with Sam Cooke and Buddy Holly.....

Sam Cooke's recorded songs were good but kind of sanitized for the mainstream market.....this version of bring it on home to me was recorded live at the Harlem Square club in Florida and is much more gritty and better than the mainstream version....enjoy.

Bill,
Check out Alligator Records.
Especially "Genuine House-Rockin' Music."
Alligator Records Homepage - Alligator Records - Genuine House Rockin' Music Since 1971

Here's a sample....

Best,

Scott

PS.
A coupla four CD's I have from Alligator.

I've made it my business to carefully search every nook and cranny here in the south of every flea market and roadside antique shop looking for blues on 78 rpm..

I've quite a collection....

Hooray!
I've 'bout got that damn bug killed!
Drowned him, don't cha know.
With 80 proof.

I've suffered for a week and, I'm just sayin' that a hangover
would feel better than what I've dealt with for the last week.

We'll see what tomorrow brings....

Self medication, {snicker}

Best,

Scott

How 'bout some Jackie Wilson!

Hit number 7 on Feb. 9, 1959.
Was on the charts for 21 weeks, and in the top 10 for 5 weeks.

Barely before I was born.

must have heard it "in uterus...."

Best,

Scott

And,
I leave my post tonight, as "Assistant Minister of Music"

With a Blues song that will always remind me of Carol,
my last true love who passed 3 years ago during the Christmas Season....

Good night, all....

Thank you for that Scott!
Ms. Cora and I had a few business dealings, in which I spoke to her on the phone in Chicago many times. She is/wasa very beautiful soul and her and I loved each other. I know she still carries that love(as do I), she was an exceptional lady!

I hope you are feeling better, too. I may be proof that "a little bit of knowledge can be a dangerous thing"! Glad you didn't slam all your arteries shut, in your ice bath. Which should be a "head up" to all.......

Thought for today - Cry forgive, learn, move on. Let your tears water the seeds of your future happiness......,,

Truly I am just meeting everyone. Scott I didn't know. God bless you friend, god bless you. My wife is terribly ill with a non malignant brain tumor, pituitary gland tumors and thyroid tumors. We argue a lot. Mostly because I feel she isn't doing enough medically for herself. She smiles, but this isn't about us , this note is to my friend May the good lord watch over and bless you and your family . I didn't know friend

The weekend is upon us, BBQ and some nice cold beer in my chums new 37 foot RV. No worries as there will be no drinking and driving, we're just going to be parked in his driveway. Our wives think we're a tad strange for planning this event for the entire week. :tongue3: I wonder what they will think when they see the Pizza Guy show up to the door of the RV around midnight? :laughing7: :occasion14:
