Good afternoon, wife just got called into work, and finished some of the fall yard chores. 4:44 pm. today will be the autumnal eqinox. and fall has officially arrived.

Just pulled some of the last of the venison burger out of the freezer, and made up some " taco bowls". In the supermarket the other day I found a package of soft taco shell that had bee shaped into bowls. 2 per dish, add chopped lettuce, onion, jalepeno pepper. In skillet add olive oil, burger, 1 cloves chopped garlic, chilli powder to taste, and hot sauce. When hot, spoon over taco bowels, cover with shredded cheese,( I like sharpe chedder, but your choice). Put in micro 1 1/2 min.until cheese melted. I served this with a side of black bean and corn salsa, and an iced cold beer.

This recipe just popped out of my imagination, and hope you all try if and enjoy. Be back later.......Gary

Well thanks Bill, I'm honored, don't work too hard out there.....
I did find one dj cat, but they said he was to fat to upload! LOL!
We'll just hafta get by however we can......

Crappy weather this weekend and unforeseen complications resulted in a total wash for detecting and rock hunting. I hooked up with a neighbor of mine and we cut a whack of Birch for the Winter and partook in a drink or two from his current stock. It was rainy and the wind was blowing hard and decided that a little CRH (I happened to have $500 of rolled coins) Coffee Liqueur on the rocks and a Cuban cigar was in order. :laughing7: I think that the latest I was up all weekend was about 9:00 at night all nice and warm with the fire roaring. It's officially Fall and we must wave goodbye to the Summer that never was in this region of the world.IMG_0001.JPGIMG_0012.JPGIMG_0009.JPG

Gary,

Sounds like a pretty good spread for supper.....we're having slow cooker ribs with a rub of herbes de provence and onion and garlic seasonings.....simmered up some green beans and tomatoes from the garden with onions, garlic tossed in some chopped up red peppers and a mish mass of seasonings which I never write down....lol....some rice on the side should do the trick.

missed you too, wt. I'd swear, I can smell that cigar, all the way here!
Oh wait, that's the neighbors outside! LOL! I gotta go shut my windows! LOL!

Perhaps the others will return soon and grace us with their presence........

Good evening, and glad to see wt, and BB back. The first day of fall is here, and on the NW wind it has driven summer from the Lake. ^ am, the winds were calm, and Temp. near 67......dawn came as we left the shore to do some exploring and foraging and the wind changed, and temps began to drop...may even see some lows tonight near 40. Made working outside comfortable, and the glass of Ezre Brooks very enjoyable....don't smoke , but relish the fact that you have shared your relaxation with me.....Gary
