CRISPINS CRITTERS

:laughing7: Can anyone guess which side has a ton of (three different types) chilies? The in-laws dropped off some fresh cucumbers earlier and they had to be sacrificed to the pickling spirit. they've only been in the jars for about an hour and the brine is already red, going to be hot.

The term "Rock And Roll" is used very loosely these days, this band is the real deal. Seven Seas Blues, fitting song for a bunch of Pirates eh?

AHHHH!, the best part of this season is putting up the produce from the growing season, which in these parts is way too short! Just closed down the garden and raised beds this weekend with the exception of 1 container tomato, and 2 jalepeno plants that are still producing....wet summer really put the hurt on the hot peppers, but put up 4-5 jars of infused hot vinegar, and cooking oil. Your pickles look real good, notice lots of garlic.

I hear you on that....grew some scotch bonnets a couple years ago. Mixed them with some Thai chillis, and banana peppers in a relish, and put to much on a hamburger one night:tongue3: Really didn't do that again, but they sure did add to my tacos and enchiladas....Gary

I put Thai Chillies, Jalapenos and dried Serrano Chillies in this particular batch. I'm thinking they will make a fantastic garnish for some crazy Caesars.

Those bloody marys look a whole lot better with the pickle and chilli instead of a boring celery stalk. Try a Mary and the Boy's, vodka, tomato juice, horseradish, pepper(black), slice of lemon, and garnish with jumbo shrimp hanging from the rim of the glass....dunk a chili in that and it would beg to be the signature drink in any establishment.

Nice!. Had to use dried packs from pizza place to make some jerky marinade today, can not say it wasn,t done before.:laughing7:

RC,

I think that sometimes gathering from the condiment counter is easier than trying to grow them youself. We reallt need a longer growing season, or I need to build a greenhouse!

That sounds just like my style right there, we use Clamato juice up here and call them Caesars, spicing and garnishing the drinks up to no end.

My pal from Wisconsin brings me up this lovely stuff every Winter when he comes up Ice Fishing, try it out if it's available in your area.

A few packages of soya sauce, sugar and some dry Cajun spice would do you no wrong either my friend.

Ahh, sounds like a plan for the weekend after goose hunting! Have seen the clamato juice, but not the other mix, but will look for it.
