I just wish people would be a bit more caring and have their pets spayed or neutered. Our county will do it for free if you can't afford it... but yet they still don't show up. So sad.

Which reminds me of last night.

I was coming out of the Japanese Steak House and a homeless guy was sitting on the curb.

"I haven't eaten in two day's" he said.

"I wish I had your willpower," I replied.

I always say that people take care of their animals the way they care for themselves!
Avoident people avoid responsibility and have a way of rationalizing and justifying it!!!!
One of the cats turned into the high kill shelter last week was 17...What kind of person does that?
Fortunately a well known rescue group took her...She was in the same transport as the kitties I took..

I have to disagree with the dog robot analysis. When I came home after my last deployment in uniform, I stood up out of the wheelchair my dog went wild. She jumped up kissed me ran around me as fast as she could it was beautiful. I wish I got it on camera. I had been gone almost a year. When I sat down she jumped over my lap wouldn't leave me. It was a beautiful moment . She slept beside me right where my arm could touch her

I think the control variable to the experiment was dogs reactions to people they DIDN'T know and robots.

In terms of the homeless, their are many causes...most of the time mental illness and substance abuse are present...

It's always nice to have a kahuna! Not always easy to be one.
Pretty soon, we will have to start teaching remedial conversation, to many of our new college grad's, sad to say.
In this technologically advanced age of over abundance of stimuli, It seems to many ppl have forgotten about ppl. To take notice, be aware, smile at another, say "hello", offer a helping hand...... (fortunate ppl are not always blessed with gratitude). Bless you squiggy, for I am sure there are those, who consider and call you an angel!

Gotta stand for something, or you'll fall for anything.
